I just found out that Sanae took place of Sakuya. Why would ZUN do that? Sakuya was the third option almost from the very beginning of Windows games and now she's gone, or rather replaced by that useless green Reimu. So much variety now.

Sakuya had been about to depart to investigate the strange nocturnal sightings that had been plaguing Gensokyo, as anything that happened at night would concern her mistress, when a sudden request came from the Moriya shrine. It implied that they had urgent information regarding the sightings, but thus far all she had discovered was that Sanae made tea far inferior to her own. It was downright horrible. She cut right to the point once the shrine maiden settled down.

"Why did I call you? Well, it's simple, really... I need to go in your place. It will bring much needed faith to the shrine."

Sakuya coughed, tasting a bit of the tea come back up. "And why would I leave the safety of my lady in your hands?"

"There are several reasons. One, my going will accomplish both our goals. Two, I've got the power of gods to back me up, and you... don't. And three... I poisoned your drink."

Sakuya froze for a moment then coughed again, a burning sensation spreading through her body. She reached for her daggers, but it was already too late. Her body went limp and she crumpled to the floor. Sanae quickly gathered up Sakuya's limp body and shoved it in a closet, muttering quietly to herself.

"I'm sorry, but I had to do it- I had no choice! The shrine needs faith, and I have to get attention to get faith. If you were there, I wouldn't get as much... So I had to do it. It's what any proper shrine maiden would have done! That's right, it's okay.... because... I'm a good girl."

This is true. Apparently even zun realized how much Suckuya sucked and took her out of the games, hopefully for good (or at least relegated to only being in the endings). I wish he replaced her with someone more interesting than Sanae but oh well.

Sanae... Sanae raped me last night.

I was cleaning my feet when Sanae barged in with her gohei pointed towards me. Sanae flew at me and pinned me down, and ripped off my clothes. She then inserted her gohei into my vagina; I kept yelling and screaming for her to stop, but she wouldn't listen. I became so red in the face and I think she was thrusting too hard and broke something because some strange clear fluid came out of my vagina a few times during the event. After a couple of minutes had passed, she removed her gohei from me. She looked towards me and said "never leave me" before she took off. I just laid there for a while, got up, got dressed again, and went back to my broom.

Truth be told though, I kind of wish Sanae would do that again.
