A few years ago (2005), I went to Japan for a week. Personally, I had a really great time. Everyone there treated me well, I spoke in Japanese when I felt comfortable doing so, otherwise going through the typical use of a translation book. I went generally unnoticed to any great degree, but as long as I was "blending in" (as best a white guy can), no-one really cared that I was about.

So, about four days in, on a Sunday, I decide to go down to Harajuku and just generally chill and people watch; maybe pick up a couple of beers. There was a festival in Yoyogi Park, so I figured I'd ramble in there for a bit. They gave out Vanilla ice cream and Asahi beer. I was happy.

So, I notice this white chick. A little tubby, but I figured it would be nice to converse in English for a little bit, as that I hadn't really had the opportunity save for when I was in an Irish bar in Roppongi. I approach Fatty and she's pleasant enough, and on we go to see the area.

Over the course of the next hour, she drives me up the wall attempting to give me a verbal exam regarding my prowess of the Japanese language, and offering helpful little tidbits about Detective Conan. Finally, I've had enough and think it best that I stop and get something to drink, then part ways. We stop by a McDonald's and I grab a soda and some sweeter and she gets... something. We sit down between a booth of "normal" folks and some ganguro girls. I think it interesting and go on about prepping my soda. What does fat chick do? She decides to try to converse with them in shit-broken Japanese like she's their best friend, then plops her fat gaijin ass next to the ganguro chicks and had me take some pictures. Slowly, I begin to hear the murmur of "gaijin" begin to well in the restaurant. Embarassed, I finally get the fat chick to leave the ganguro chicks and, as she's leaving, I apologize to them and the booth next to us, since fatty was rocking back and forth in her booth the whole time shaking the thing all to fuck.

tl;dr - Weeabo/Ultra-Gaijins ruin it for those of us that just like to go there.

Fucking fatty American bitch.
