So I wanna cosplay Marisa, but I'm not buying anything and I sure as hell don't know how to make a costume. What's the best way to convince my mother to make it without her thinking I'm gay?

I was thinking probably telling her that the character is a guy, and show her examples like Bridget and Jun. WWJD?
