What happened to /jp/ where threads like these are allowed to stay up for hours?

>> No.26328184

>>26328136
/jp/ wasn't really used anyways, so to save the trouble, meidos decided to turn /jp/ into a vtuber board.

Not sleeping. I've seen one of these threads get a new thread just for stickies so they're actively encouraging this trash.

>>26328259
So they made a wojak sticky in the past few hours? Wow the moderation really has taken a sharp decline.

The touhou threads aren't any better too
Just the same threads recycled for years
About time they die

>>26328136
After Virtual Shill cancer established itself here and /jp/ (read: the cancer that posts in those threads) claimed that moving them to /vg/ was unnecessary (because Japanese or some other bullshit excuse), the meidos just gave up

Does /v/ or the other billion of derivative boards allows this streaming e-celeb trash?

Touhou is the backbone of jp. Hololive is taking over like they're idols or they have some sort of legacy from 20+ years ago.

I don't get it. Why was a post about an English vtuber stickied on /jp/? Why not force vtuber threads over to /trash/ instead?

2? Make that 3 stickies. I guess we know who owns /jp/ these days.

Thank god, this board used to be both dead and garbage. Now it's just garbage.

They're not even Japanese anymore. We're literally the streamer board now. How long until they start allowing discussion about whatever attention starved camwhore jumps on the bandwagon next?

Meanwhile Reimu armpit threads stay up for months.

At this point they should just sticky one thread and leave it up for months, maybe we won't have a permanent 9 free slots in the catalog due to all the deleted duplicate threads at any given moment. Seriously, look at this shit.

>> No.26329018

>>26328508
The sticky was completely unusable levels of /v/ermin trash so people stuck with the idea of holding a separate thread for holoEN discussion they've been doing since a few days prior. It's not hard to understand. Whichever mod had the awful idea of making the sticky probably saw how much cancer was in there so they let the other threads go for that reason.
I've been here since /jp/ was created, I don't even fucking like vtubers but I'm fine with them staying - that is, as well as they contain themselves and don't spam the whole board, something that due to the bizarre format they were forced into only happens when their threads reach the post limit. I advocate for a vtuber-only board not because I want to see them gone from the jay, but instead because that single chat-like thread they have is too awful of a format for any community to have despite it being a necessary evil due to how numerous those people are. The only absolutely unacceptable threads in OP's pic are the "chad" shit and the wojak shit.

Basically just stop being autistic about people liking things you dislike. If the moderation is still capable of having any competency whatsoever, they'll realize how ridiculous the current situation is and make a new board for those threads, but until then, allowing those people to have a few threads at a time is the best scenario.

>> No.26329028

Why don't you report.

>> No.26329061

>>26328587
Regardless if that shit is in vogue, now they're allowing English streams to be posted here. /vg/ was a perfect place for this shit for years and now we have to deal with whatever English-speaking derivative they push.

The "argument" a few years back was "oh, we can't create boards willy nilly". Fast forward a few years and a couple more specific video game boards being created and this shit is still being pushed over here because they can't pull the trigger on a board dedicated for this trash that's not even in english. Ironic that video game related content ruined a good chunk of the site.

>> No.26329071

Nobody was using /jp/ anyways, so what's the problem?

>The sticky was completely unusable levels of /v/ermin trash so people stuck with the idea of holding a separate thread for holoEN discussion
So the thread should have been deleted for literally being a /v/ thread, and the other thread should be deleted for being EXPLICITLY not /jp/? Is there any point to reading your post beyond this line?

>> No.26329092

>>26329028
Clearly because this is /jp/ - metathreads so it's better to ruin the board by making kuso threads to whine than to let shit get moderated.

>> No.26329241

Who cares? This board is dead as shit anyway. Might as well use it for something.

>> No.26329256

>>26329072
The sticky should never have been made, it was a bad attempt to contain something big that attracted more harm than good - and by the time the damage was done, trying to undo it would explode all over the board so mods kept it around as a last resort while people who just wanted to continue talking about the subject ignored it.
>/v/ thread
No.
>EXPLICITLY not /jp/?
Also no. Despite being English speakers, the new idols still pertain to otaku culture just the entire rest of the subculture they're related to. Vtubers do belong in /jp/, HOWEVER their fanbase is so absurdly numerous that they deserve their own board.
