Slowpoke.jpg, but I finally got through Saya no Uta.

It was glorious /jp/. I am in awe. I was physically shouting at the screen during the rape bit demanding that Fuminori tear the fucker to shreds.

Awesome vn is awesome. And pic is very, very funny.

you're a faggot.
Or maybe I am, since Saya no Uta made me cry womanly tears. If I had to sum up my experience playing this VN, I would describe it as "haunting". It is an amazing work of fiction.

Not quite as good as FSN and C;H but still top tier quality for translated VNs

SnU gets major brownie points for taking an original concept for the japs (Cthulhu) as well as making you reasonably sympathetic for someone you probably wouldn't feel much empathy for a-la Nabokov.

Another powerpoint presentation of porn.

Move on people.

Great story, not so memorable characters, forgettable game overall. SnU has no impact whatsoever, it's like one of these indie movies you like but forget its existence in the next day.

Fanboys tries to make it look the best thing ever since sliced bread because it's grimdark and teens might think it's freakin' cool mindfuck, thus the reason why /a/ liked it so much.

Final verdict: great game, among the best translated to English as for now, too much overhype from fans and VN newbies.

Cthulhu stuff is pretty normal for us, but it's not really hit the East very much.

I found SnU to be the most memorable VN I've read. It's probably the most unique translated VN at the moment.

YMK, Planetarian, Clannad, Kanon, Little Busters! EX, G-Senjou no Maou, Higurashi, Shuffle!, Fate/Stay Night, Yosuga no Sora

I'm lacking in some of the more famous ones, especially Tsukihime and Umineko, but I'm waiting on their remakes

The whole being attracted to young girls thing isn't even one of his major personality flaws. HH is a prideful jackass who is in love with himself and kills a relatively uninvolved guy just so he can shift all responsibility to him.

It's fine that people think SnU is shit. I think the same of Clannad and anything made by KEY.

Opinions opinions, I SnU was a good VN. It had a unique story, and it's a great starting visual novel. It's not intimidating in length (for those who want to get into VNs but aren't sure if they want to commit to the time it takes for one), has a nice story that isn't hard to get into, and choices aren't complicated.

It's a good Visual Novel, a bit overhyped but if you let stuff like that bother you then you can't enjoy much.

>>2617819
Well there's Cross Channel that is being translated.
In term of "impact", it's pretty much the best you can find in an eroge.

I disagree, those on /a/ who like Visual Novels act more excited over VN's than /jp/ because there are less VN topics there than there were pre-split (obviously). We rarely get a VN thread there, so when we do we have a lot to talk about in them. /a/ also acts overhyped with Fate/Stay Night and Umineko(obviously more threads of this recently with the anime coming soon.)
