So I got Melty Blood the other day. Act Cadenza, I think. ver. B? lolidunno.

Anyway, I was trying out most of the characters, and I thought it was interesting that there was a Smash Bros uniformity to special moves, which I found pretty cool. (Quarter turn forward, quarter turn back, double down, and half turn + strong while blood heat)

Anyway, I was tooling around and I really like Aoko. Any tips?

I usually prefer slow and strong as opposed to fast. So I don't really like Shiki or Nanaya, and Chaos is my second.

Her primary projectile (the one that needs 90% magic circuit) is a little slow, but has decent range if you have the magic.

I'm no expert. In fact, I really need to fight other people.

Aoko isn't really slow, in fact her mobility is great thanks to triple jumps and double airdashes. On the other hand, her combos are pretty subpar. Also her meter requiring projectiles suck (unless you mean 214C orb, which is good).

She is a character that relies heavily on zoning with her orbs and j236 into ch combo. Also: shitloads of overheads(4C, 6[A], 623A, 623B, 214C followup for 6ABC) and great corner pressure.

I dunno fighting game terminology, but I know Nero is godly on a lot of damage in a bunch of nearly simultaneous moves (using delayed attacks like antlers and whatnot).

To start with, learn to do at least one bread and butter combo perfectly for teh sake of damage. And if you play one character a lot against all others, you'll figure out timing(aka, which moves lag, how quick you can block etc).

A few hours of practice and you should be able to start your first netplay properly. Most of us are not THAT good.

The only player worth playing there is Zan, and he's EC, uses Nanaya, and is also in another channel.

I can't get good games with anyone anymore since they all quit. Ironically the people I get the best games with are my worst matchups (Warc, Ciel, Len).
