The dolls should come naturally every week if you do the dailies, expeditions, and some event grinding. I always end up completing the quest with just the daily routines I do every week. Also the paper dolls don't increase star ratings that comes from the blue charm you get from destroying picture cards/extra characters.

Attack type is mostly the best. Mostly. It's better to look at each character individually instead of the whole type. Attack has 4 of the best characters in the game but Meiling is also one of the worst despite being attack as well. On the other hand, Defense has 0 good characters so it is clearly the worst type.

Toyohime, Yuyuko, Youmu, Yorihime, Remilia, Ran-shama and you have an entire team filled with super strong characters. There are also characters like Medicine and Cirno who can break barriers on solo bosses easy with their unique skills but won't do much else. Marisa, Patchouli and Kosuzuzuzu are also good.

Best way to level up is to put characters into the school with lots of food, sending everyone on expeditions all the time and doing lots of high difficulty battles. You can also put weak characters behind stronger ones so they can go into tough battles as well to get the exp.

She sounds ok. Her gimmick is that she gains more and more buffs and applies more and more debuffs the more she boosts before using a spellcard, especially of the crit related variety. She also has Youmu's ability that gives her an extra attack buff for each level of boost. 3 problems she has are that her last word is only single target which makes her less useful for quickly clearing stuff like extra mode, that she has pretty low speed (only 900 max which is slower than even Reimu) and that one of her skills has the "Charge" effect. In order to get the most benefits from all her debuffs she should be the one attacking first on your team but it is rarely going to happen. You could wait a turn with your other characters on purpose but enemies on Lunatic difficulty will buff themselves almost every round so it might negate most of her debuffs if you don't attack right away. It also makes her less useful on Full Auto grinds since she will always use that Charge skill. Her speed is thankfully still enough to outspeed Toyohime, who does some of the best damage in the game and also happens to have her own Charge skill.

Does anyone else feel like this game has no future? The twitter account has a decent number of followers but it feels like no one really cares that much for it overall. Koishi is arguably one of the most popular characters in the series yet I didn't feel any hype when she was announced nor released. All the events are the same thing over and over and the gameplay lacks any depth or strategy. There's hardly anything to look forward to. How do they expect people not to get bored?

I'm currently on reroll hell for trying to get a koishi + one of the stronger characters like toyo and youmu. Any tip for faster rerolling? My rerolling method is pretty standard, make account, finish tutorial, roll, rinse and repeat. Took me12 to 15 minutes on average for one reroll cycle.

The game honestly has pretty weird amounts of resources in the shop in general so I am not surprised if people are not buying as much as GoodSmile predicted. Every set has lots of pink cubes but actual mats like scrolls are stupidly rare. Even the most expensive sets only have 30 scrolls when characters can need up to 90 to unlock their last skill. There is also completely redundant stuff, like being able to buy 3000 pink cubes on their own when you can also buy 3000 pink cubes + extra stuff for the same amount of money.

I imagine it's just the way of things with gacha, but man as this game continues it's going to be harder and harder to get certain characters with how few banners they use, how low the drop rate is, and the sheer number of Touhou characters. Like I keep pulling fucking Daiyousei myself. I have most of the characters by virtue of starting somewhat early but there's a few I can't seem to nab.

It's not like real money or more cubes would help since the chances are still spread very thin like, even if you dumbly bought rainbow cubes and threw those into the gacha you'd get one *random* character. I think the obvious thing to do would be to incorporate more motherfucking banners, not just rotating out a few oldies per month/every few weeks (like this time it's a few SDM characters). Of course, if you're "playing it right" you can get scads and scads of cubes but even then it feels kinda depressing. Dunno. I'm just out here particularly wanting Ringo and knowing that I probably won't get her. But, I'll get a sixth Daiyousei. Fuckin nameless fairy.

And repeat that for every quest or event. The girls have cool buffs like accuracy, aggro,ect. but you never actually care because again you just spell spam to win. One of the games I play is called Ash arms and it also suffers from the game being too easy so during events the devs have a nightmare difficulty where the game actually pushes your shit so you need to manage aggro and use a little bit of thought to beat all 5 stages and it makes the game truly shine. Hopefully the devs figure something out in the future I'm cutting them some slack because of the kung flu.

I say yes. I haven't heard any RPGs outside mobages that requires you to get 100 items just to slightly upgrade one character and is further limited by shitty "stamina" system. That's because the games deliberately pushes you to make real purchases to make thing easier, usually in form of more stamina, more rolls, even giving the items themselves, etc.
The problem with gacha games is they often purposefully make the game more tedious or butchered the genre mechanic to give use the rolling/gambling feature and real purchases, even the "good" ones. I guess it's similar to MMO but I don't remember MMO being this grindy other than leveling, and the purchases usually focus more on cosmetics and equips and driven by competitive scene in PvP.

I really wonder who looked at the Tsukomos and thought that they look like glass cannon characters with higher attack than the likes of Flandre or Patchouli. Both of them have 1450 attack, 1200 speed and very low defence. In fact, they share the same stats except their yin/yang values are flipped. It's nice that Kasen gets more stuff but I wish she actually better in combat. She is probably the most mediocre character in the game. None of her stats are good, her switch effect is also on better characters, she can raise her crit but not as good as others and every single attack she has is single target. Tried to full auto but the enemies in the final battle are tanky as hell on Lunatic. I think they have the resistance against AoE attacks. Look at how much health Jewn has left. Slowly I'm beginning to see how you could strategize and design difficulty for this game. Spell cards can have fitting attributes like raising the amount of hits which is useful for Patchouli and her multi-hit, extremely powerful elemental cards, buffs are here and there and definitely useful.

I predict two issues if they end up trying to make this more of a satisfying game. One is that when switching characters the cooldown is really too long, IMO. Kind of discourages trying. The other is that, AFAIK, very few characters can heal other characters. In my own roster I know Sanae can, but I don't know about anyone else.

I think they would have a lot more followers on twitter if they actually did something with their account. It's one of the most boring game accounts out there. It's not written like it is run by a character from the game, they don't post any additional material like comics to go along with events, they have 0 interaction with followers/fans, on average they make only a single post each day always at the same time and all their character reveals/trailer are exactly the same every time. I am in Japan actually. I sent something through their official inquiry page about it (I think the email address is right, and I definitely know the two account names they asked about).
