Why the fuck do these have to be 7,800 each (not to mention they're exclusives)? Figure prices are getting insane..

and yet I cannot stop collecting.

Also, general /fig/ thread go.

>> No.2566172

I'm not in to figures (yet) but the other day I picked up that Bome Noriko from Gunbuster for $20. It was a bargain and I like Gunbuster, so yeah, I bought it.

Have I started a slow descent into chaos?

Forgot to mention they're 1/8 scale. It seems if you buy the pair it'll be 15,000 yen saving you a whopping 600 yen.

>Bome

It wasn't on sale. It's $20 because it's crap.

>> No.2566187

1/8 for 7,800 is a super ripoff bro, even for fig standards

It just depends how into the hobby you get. If you stick to lower quality figures (aka prize figures or bome) then it's not too bad. Once you start collecting GSC/Alter/Megahouse stuff you may be in trouble (if you go overboard, which isn't hard).

>> No.2566203

That isn't as outrageous as what some Ikkitousen figures were fetching even years back.

Who's the maker of the figs in the OP.

>>2566187
It's actually not getting far from the truth. A lot of 1/8 figs are starting to be 6,500 to 7,500 yen each.

They're exclusive PVCs from T's System available for order from Etsu.

I would pay a million yen for this dear elusive kikikit.

Ha, true as it usually goes for $20 (plus shipping).

I agree about the figure prices, its retarded.

Late last year is when 1/8th suddenly burst in price for no god damn reason. Now I only buy 1/6 mostly and 1/8 on rare occasions.

As far as I know, the only decent priced shit is kotobukiya.

Koto's prices are going up too. At least the US release version prices are still a lot cheaper but it takes longer for those to be released (sometimes they aren't too).

I was thinking of getting this. I thought it was a limited release but orders are up on Hobby Search.

its 1/10th but it looks pretty good

The prices of figs has always been all over the place imo so meh.

I mean look at those prices. I should note that a lot of them are cold cast resin but still, crazy prices from crazy manufacturers

True. It does depend on the manufacturer too. For example Wave charges a lot for their small figures that aren't as detailed as GSC or Alter. It's strange and upsetting because I do want Rika and Hanyuu but can't see paying 6,500 yen each for them.

I generally stay away from Wave, they're in the same bin as Atelier Sai for me (though not near as bad)

I do too but they have figures of characters I really like. I do have one Wave figure I bought on sale (Suiseiseki) and it's not really that bad it's just small and I would've never bought it at regular price. Atelier Sai is horrible though them and Taki Corp.

Gotten to the point where I buy/preorder about 1 a month. Pic is my most recent purchase. They're lower quality then I would have liked, but that's to be expected from a dvd extra. I've been considering getting into sculpting my own, but it's a bit daunting.

>> No.2566401

>>2566386

See that reasoning is what got me to buy Atelier Sai's Shuffle! figs a while back and well...

>>2566257

What is your opinion of that Louise I ended up not getting it.

>> No.2566425

>>2566401
I would never let my love of a character override quality and price though. If Wave's Rika and Hanyuu went on sale I'd probably get them. Wave is decent enough for me not to regret purchase but only if it's on sale. I can't say the same for Atelier Sai.

So what do you have pre-ordered for next month (or this month if that purchase was last month).
