One board for vidya generals is not enough, so many decent but slow generals cannot survive on /vg/ and they cannot go elsewhere.
So what you will have instead is de facto generals on these boards rotating on the same theme.

Also now these new boards have too much crossover of games fitting multiple boards, fragmenting them even further while the actual popular/cancerous stuff is allowed to thrive in /v/ and /vg/, while everything else is rendered secondary.
Also, none of the new boards fit /tmg/, though I would like us to leave /jp/ if a suitable board arises.
This was always temporary, maybe someday we might survive on /vg/.

In summary, this is the lazy, halfhearted way to fix a problem that would be fixed by proper application of the rules of 4chan and of the internet as a whole.
The proper fix would be adding two new boards, one for eceleb drama and the other for mobile games, maybe a 3rd for smash or smth.
These boards would allow generals, and they would be containment boards, discussion outside of them would be bannable, just like pokemon, mlp or 2hu(used to be, lazy fucks).

Go search "typemoon vkontakte" (the Type-Moon /v/a/ one, this tends to be the first result so it should be easy to find). Check the album images on the site and keep scrolling until you see all those TM Ace albums. If the quality isn't good enough for you then recently, the person who scanned that Fate15th book also posted a new scan of all TM Ace volumes. But you will need an anon to re-upload it since it's on panbaidu (well unless you have a baidu acc).

I do agree with you that this general is too fixed on the past and that 99% of all replies are repeated critics about "how much better it used to be". I do not, however, think that what is being made now is more "mature" nor as good as their older content. Just comparing the amount of new original Nasuverse projects from 2000-10 and 2010-20 shows how F/GO monopolized TM and stopped many other promised works from existing. It's a shame that differently from TM's first decade, where they expanded and diversed the universe, allowing us to explore different narratives inside it, this last decade didn't continue that trend, despite seeing the expansion of the fanbase.

These are my honest thoughts about the current situation. I have some hope in the future. Tsukihime R is coming, F/GO is ending and Nasu has shown awareness about these sort of complaints. Well, stop being such boomers and have some hope anons.

Fans who have been supporting TM since the olden days said that “it’s shallow”, but it could be said that it only appears that way due to the result of broadening the scope to allow a wider audience to enjoy it.

But the truth is, the core has not been changed. The direction and goal is as such: if you keep playing, you’ll end up thinking, “It’s the same TM as before”.

This. You can tell they're anime-onlies on /a/ when they bitch about Shirou being a generic Jump protag. Overall, while I enjoyed ufo's FSN anime, it really is not good as a starting point for fans because it cuts out a lot of Shirou's characterization. I mean, I kind of get that, for pragmatic reasons, they have to cut them down because a huge chunk of the VN is monologue and internal dialogue, which would be really boring in animated form and would kill pacing especially during the action scenes. The anime is unironically much better if you've actually read the VN, you already know the characters so you can just sit back and enjoy the flashy bits. This is even more true for HF. FGO's gameplay pretty much goes down to 2 components: (1) grinding and fighting mobs as per usual RPG to get mats and gain level or (2) CQs/boss fights with gimmick skills. Unless you actually like those harder fights, there's just no point caring about the gameplay. So I don't know what you're trying to do or mean with "trivialize the gameplay".

Part 1 can already be spedrushed by relying on a friend's Cu Alter for most of the stuff. For those bits that can't, especially in later Parts, you'll have to grind anyway, especially in chapters like Shimousa boss fights where you can't rely on strong friends. In which case you basically have to play 'normally'.

I think Ciel is cute but she suffers from a lack of focus. In most routes she is basically just a competent person/plot device who helps Tohno-kun. Then when you get to the spin-offs she is flanderized so horribly I can't blame people for disliking her, because almost all she talks about is curry which is kind of a boring trait to focus on. At least when Arc acts super moe it's kind of endearing, plus it's something you can apply differently to different scenarios with different outcomes. In the manga at least it goes more in depth on her guilt/desire to repent for the whole Roa situation, and she gets some scenes focusing on her specifically. I think Nasu just doesn't know what to do with her, or maybe he just didn't execute his ideas for her route very well leading to peoples disdain for Ciel.

Nero was done as a saberface to trick audiences with a mistery, but she is stupisly different in both personaliry and actually looks (since she is designed and drawn by wadarco and not takeuchi) that I even forgot she is supposed to be a saberface. She is one of my favorite cahacters, nero in extra, but if it still bothers you that much just pick caster or archer

The game is meh, but it is FINE, I really apreciate the gameplay sections since they enhance the story by making you connect deeply with the main character and his struggles. Play on easy of it bothers you or even cheat scum it with save states (only put points in str and save scum) because the story is what matters, but even if you dont fucking care about gameplay by scumming it, its refreshing and good enough to matter for the story
Play the original on psp emulator, I did that, we dont know anything about how the remake will turn out

Its odd, but I feel like this adaptation actually tells the story much better than in game, since it cuts a lot of the filler and replaces the silent protagonist with a ritsuka with some personality
