The opening theme for the anime "Umineko no Naku Koro ni" will be done by Akiko, same as the original game.

Tunes from the original also will be used as background music during the story!

Arranged versions of familiar tunes from the original game will be used for the Anime BGM.

'Melody Arrangements' of music from the original game will be used everywhere, drawing out the atmosphere of the original to the fullest.

And music might serve different purposes. However, it's almost always better to go with what gives the same feel in adaptions, because the farther away you get from the creators intention, the farther away you get from what made people love it in the first place.
