What's the right amount of detail for panties? I think when they focus too much on having detailed cameltoe, it takes away from the panties themselves.

The wrinkles are present on the left example as well, though. It's just that they've been changed to a colour that's considerably harder to spot, whereas on the right it's a fairly dark shade, making them pop out a lot.

It seems like Komugi-san already has an answer to the panty complexity to strive for, but may still ponder about the amount of attention to give to said details.
And I'm sure the answer to that lies somewhere in the middle.
