2537112 No.2537112[DELETED]  [Reply] [Original]

Over my past 2 weeks absence I have been observing /jp/ from afar inbetween work and class.

Its pure shit.

How dare you say that I am responsible for any of the bad content on this board. The same kinds of things I am constantly blamed for went on and on and on through this period. So either my influence runs so deep it permeates into the very fabric of the board's culture without me actually being here or, you know, I'm not actually that bad.

None of you actually have a rebuttal. I've been hanging out in /a/ more recently and we actually have some pretty decent discussion about currently airing anime.

We had 4 200+ replies good KS threads, all made one after another, right after the previous one hit the bump limit, when the demo came out. Then people started making too many threads at the same time, it annoyed people and then the trolling commenced.

>>2537162,6
I'm not joking, /a/ is much better than /jp/ at the moment. /a/ is 'maturing' in the same way /v/ did, its reached a trolling impasse as there are just so many trolls that a natural immunity is being built up.

The down side is this means people are more paranoid than usual, but it also means that people simply dont fall for trolls like 'more like legend of gaylactating homos' anymore. /jp/ is too easily trolled and too inured on one topic.

>> No.2537162,8 [INTERNAL]

That's because you're never here for /jp/-related things. It's strange that you even went here in the first place.

Bullshit. I see people falling for trolls on /a/ that everyone on /jp/ ignores.

>>2537162,7
Trolling wasn't even the worst part of /a/. Admittedly /a/ had it pretty rough for a while, but it happens on every board. The issue was a massive influx of newfriends, single shows dominating the board, and the idea some people have that /a/ is /b/ with anime.

>> No.2537162,11 [INTERNAL]

>>2537162,7
>/a/ is 'maturing' in the same way /v/ did,
What, last time I checked /v/ it was neo /b/. As usual your taste in boards is both puzzling and amateurish. If you think current /a/ is good you obviously weren't here during old /a/. But then again I haven't been to /a/ in months. Are they still arguing over Toradora or has that new show 'K-ON' become the new center of their circlejerks. I'm glad /jp/ never gets dominated by any given topic, though I agree with you that /jp/'s topics are too static.

I'll have to take your word on /a/ and see for myself.

There are probably a few dozen top tier anime of the calibre of GitS, Bebop, Planetes, LoGH, Mushishi etc. Fuck, probably even less when you consider the quality of those shows. It simply isn't worth watching hundreds of series.

American film. As we know american cinema is of no value.

And what do I like,
Well, wong kar-wai is such director that appeals to me. Days of being wild or chungking express, which is better?
Jim Jarmush is a good one.
Three colours trilogy is a masterpiece, bleu being the best of it.
In the Realm of Senses is such an underrated piece of work.
Audition is the best one from takeshi miike.
Bonnie and Clyde and perhaps There will be blood, I like the movies of corruption of american society.

Neither, Lust ; Caution is the best contemporary chinese film because it isn't overstylized nonsense.

such nonsense. audition is genuinely well-thought story with wonderfully disharmonious aspects while bpoc is merely of stating the obvious.

As opposed to the overstylized kinds of things you like? Arthouse is crap for a reason.

Bird People is better than Audition because Audition is graphic, sexual nonsense whereas Bird People is just a nice story told in a nice way.

Its concept is admittedly simple, technology is both good and bad, but its the way it explores this concept that is of consequence.

You cretin you cretin.
"technology is both good and bad"
That sounded stupid. You are a cretin.

Or perhaps that true purity of culture thrives from suffering and selflessness and modern worthless people cannot handle the tides of ancient times. It is not a flick about technology, you cretin.

As for Audition, this movie is about all everything but graphical gore and such. It is a love story above anything else, still not only that. You see, the thing with understanding things is to see beyond what is in front of you.

Did you miss the last 10 minutes of the film or something? I won't bother going through it since people have probably not seen it, but thats basically the whole point of the Yakuza guy's monologue and the response of the salaryman ('but if it weren't for technology we wouldn't even be here') and why he stays behind to be an advisor to the village.

No, I understand the metaphor. But thats ancilliary to the main point about industrialization, technology and the people affected. And besides, the future of the village is left open. Clearly a page has been turned but what is written on the other side is left for the audience to guess at.

>>2537162,42

If one sees it like that there is not a thing I could say, even though it is criminal.

And the village. Well, we know what happens do we not. It is a movie about adoption, is it not?
Pure culture is not a game of give and take, and so the song aka the memory of authenticity was burded away in a fire.

Yes, and did you miss the part with the stupid wings and all that. That was not "pure" either. In conclusion to this, the world is not pure at all.
But if the world is not pure can the spirit be pure, perhaps it can, if you see the point of it, even though this is not a thing that you'd know of, immigrant.
