hi anons! i've been wanting to learn japanese for some time and i've memorized hiragana and katakana, but i just wanted to ask for any anons who might know: what should i do next now that i know all the kana? i've been trying to understand some grammar but its very tough for me so tips on that will be appreciated! i just wanna know if i'm going at this at the wrong way. like if i should learn kanji or some words first.

consume a lot of japanese media like streams and variety shows to buff your listening comprehension, start off with games that have furigana to get mentally used to japanese then move on to light novels or vns to start mining kanji you don't know (you can use VNR or not)
it's gonna be tough and kinda unrewarding a lot and you might get discouraged but keep trying hard. don't be a dekinai-chan

Practically every sentence is willfully incorrect, so yes, its a joke.
