About 50% of the scenes are typical written sex with not so extraordinary setting, so no extreme disappointment.

That's not the case in 'most VNs' at all. Doing a statistical study would take ages, but I would say that more VNs have H scenes that are part of the plot (and make the game better than it otherwise would be) than the latter case. Yes, you get things like Mizuiro and Sharin no Kuni where the H scenes are basically bolted on, but also things like Gin'iro, Aoiro Rinne, Sayonara wo Oshiete, Kusari which have strong stories that are tied to the H scenes, as well as eroero things like Serina, Natsukami, Prima Stella which would lack a lot of content if the ero was removed and pure-love stories where the ero is used tastefully and appropriately, as often part of the plot as not, like Koibito Doushite Surukoto Zenbu, Parfait, Kono Aozora etc.

It's a mark of respect to the writer to enjoy/endure the H scenes in the way of more story. If the scenario writer isn't good enough to make reading the H scenes worth it, drop the VN in question and play something less shit.

For example, it shows how godly Tonoike Daisuke (works for CUFFS, used to work for F&C before it went to shit) is - that I'm happy to read his H scenes, 3/4 of which involve PEEING. In every game. I'm serious; fantastic a writer Tonoike is, I'm sure he's got a fetish for that sort of thing.
But I read them, because the VN in question makes it worth it.

Tbh, i thought a few of the H scenes in F/SN added nicely to the storyline in terms of deepening the relationships between the characters. I mean, Sabers H scenes IMO helped the Fate plot line as she didnt really enjoy herself in the first one but in the second one it was done for love. Maybe I am a big soppy faggot, but I like seeing the delicate side of someone come out, and that usually happens during sex.

Also about the plot implications, I know the whole"LOL MANA REPLENISH" was kinda sprung on us, but if you have played Tsukihime and KT before F/SN, you realise that sex as a means to create a contract or aid magic is a constant in the nasuverse, thats just how it works in the stories he writes so i didnt really mind it at all.

No. The music and other aspects are just as important as the writing. For me anyway. Clannad and Saya no Uta are two of my favourite visual novels for their stunning music, if they had bad music I doubt I'd like them nearly as much.
