I was a NEET for a year, twice. Now I'm really kicking myself wishing I'd gotten busier in the meantime. You really never get that time back.

I enjoyed the freedom, being able to surf the net, play games, watch anime all day, all week... but in the end, it amounted to nothing. Now I'm trying to live like I mean it. "Sieze the day" and all that triteness. Even a bad experience is an experience, which is what I need since I have as much as someone half my age, lol!

Nah, it was mental junk food. I was merely entertained. I've realized now that when I look back on my life, the most memorable, meaningful moments are those spent with friends and loved ones, and I'm not typically the extrovert, sentimental, or social type naturally.

I "appreciated the art" of these things that entertained me, and I was even moved by some of them, but in the end, it's all one big blur that hasn't really influenced my life one way or the other, apart from filling time I could have used more productively.
