Narcissu 3 came out yesterday.

Narcissu 2, a three hour game, still has not been translated.

Torrent/rs where?

>> No.2502934

How is 3 related? I know 2 is a prequel.

I thought hallway/halweath or whatever was sitting on it.

>> No.2502930

I really wish a Translation Wiki would get started for it. The faggot who is "translating" it is just an attention whore who probably doesn't even know Japanese.

>> No.2502943

Narci3's been translated for over a year.

It's still waiting on pons and stuff, which is waiting on Haeleth, who is -- I have no idea.

I know he's 'busy', and I know he's working a 9-5 job, but jeez; I'm working an 8-6 job and I still have plenty of free time to translate.

Narcissu 2 seems for the most part translated, I saw the preview of it at GIRUGAMESHcon.

I couldn't help how OP's image reminded me of this.

Can't wait for Nacissu 4: Daioujou

Did someone translate Himawari?

>> No.2503071

>>2503062
No.. I doubt it would translate very well into English, either. Probably why that guy who said he'd do it gave up before making any progress.

>> No.2503085

I wasn't getting it, but now I am because of that. Himawari was awesome.

I was amused how he commented on his diary about the game, implying that the release date was bullshit.

He later edited it saying that it seemed to have been completed on time after all.

What's so special about it? And that ridiculous score on eroscape, it's the only doujin game in that range. I've tried reading it, something about lolis from space?

>> No.2503128

>>2503109
It is far more culturally tied to Japan than your average eroge - requires an uncommon breadth of knowledge to appreciate (the text itself is simple, graceful and easy to read, though, so it's not hard to translate like Saihate no Ima would be hard to translate). You'd probably have to include the game's length in translation notes or just leave people confused (and wondering why it's considered such a good eroge)

And yes, it's about lolis from space
pretty much

Read more of it. It's good stuff!

I remember playing the trial for Himawari before it was released and then forgetting all about it. Still haven't played it.

>> No.2503145

>>2503109
It has the best scenario writing out of all the VNs that have been released. (on EGS it has the highest 'scenario' POV to overall votes ratio out of every game in the database, as an example). Regardless of what you think of the story and characters (which are still pretty great), that itself demands respect.

>> No.2503150

Share isn't finding anything for me. Can someone that's not a complete idiot at using the program have a go?

>> No.2503227

>>2503128
Himawari isn't hard to understand?
The only reason I've been putting it off was because it isn't voiced, my moonspeak isn't that bad and I can play most eroge well enough but I'm always wary of those that aren't voiced.
Is it about as easy as Umineko? I didn't have much problem with that.

>> No.2503248

>>2503227
Maybe a little harder than Umineko, but not by much at all.

What's more important is a decent amount of general knowledge, but you can look things up as you play it (and even if you don't, it's probably not that important).

Personally, I prefer non-voiced eroge to voiced eroge, but that's mostly because I basically grew up with non-voiced eroge, with modern voiced titles being a newfangled thing I'm still not entirely comfortable with.

ナルキッソス
Why narcissu? Up to now I've just thought it was supposed to be a funny way to spell narcissist, but now I see it's supposed to be Narkissos and I've been mispronouncing the name all this time in my mind as I have no one to talk to

>> No.2503319

What?

>> No.2503325

>>2503304
I thought it related to 'narcissus' (both flower and mythology) (which it is, story-wise) but it's not pronounced anything like that, it seems.

>> No.2503340

>>2503331
Eat? Why? It's true the pronunciation is different.

Also, it seems Japanese has its own name for the flower (that isn't derived from the word Narkissos/Narcissus).
