I figured that it's possible for Reimu and Yukari to be daemon princesses and gensokyo was actually a daemon world in the Eye of Terror fashioned by them.

When cultist perform their dark rituals, their chant reaches the ears of Yukari and she opens up her border, causes a warpstorm in the Materium and flood a planet with youkai/daemon in order to bring back human to her world for plaything.

Anyway, I'll try to reason through the passage of time.

Just an approximation, but:

EoSD takes place during summer and roughly a year later during spring, PCB takes place. IaMP occurs that summer and IN takes place that Autumn. PoFV takes place in spring and MoF occurs either that Autumn or the following autumn. SWR takes place 1 year after MoF and SA takes place in that same year. UFO takes place in the spring of the following year.

Recap:
EoSD -(1 year)> PCB/IaMP/IN -(1 year)> POFV -(1/2 - 1 1/2 years)> SWR/SA -(1/2 year)> UFO

So 3 to 4 years have passed since the start of the windows age depending on your reckoning. So we'd just need to know the heroines' age.
