One of the gayest parts about PoE is that you can't access all characters' affection stages. You can raise their affection but you won't be able to even do stage 1 and this essentially locks you from getting the gems.
I don't know if it's because you need to reach certain chapters in the story or if they just simply haven't finished writing affection stage scenarios for all of the characters yet but seems stingy.
I'm just trying to grind out more gems after doing 40 pulls on Ursula's banner with nothing to show for it but there are literally no more avenues of crystals for me to farm. I'm hardstuck at the storybook mode while having finished everything else until I level up some more.
I really hope events save this game.

The reason they dont make much is that they dont advertise much if at all. They probably have a very tiny advertising budget which allows them to get away with lower revenue in comparison to others. Considering they've been developing 4 other games simultaneously it seems to be working for them.

I wish I had AS Yuna because I want her bad. All I got is regular Yuna and chants/AS tomes take fucking forever to get. Chants are so especially horrible to get that I wish there was a campaign that gave you 5 chants instead of free singles, crystals or rolls.

You can argue that Pride of Eden is just starting out and that Priconne was similarly jewish when first starting out but that was two years ago. Why is Pride of Eden trying to adopt an outdated model? Most successful mobile games these days shower new players on launch week with rolls. What PoE is doing it shitting on them and making them quit.
Once the Japanese get over the honeymoon phase the game will stop growing early on its life and will never see even a quarter of the success Priconne has earned despite trying to adopt similar aspects to it.

I'm not that anon but it took Princess Connect a year to finally get a spark system and that was after a fuck ton of seasonal limiteds that were core meta units. You legitimately can't expect a new game to be as generous as an older one unless there's some caveat where it's a colle clone or it has some dupe system that rewards having multiple copies of characters.

Dragalia is a good example because in the first few months after it launched at the end of 2018, it made more than it did in the entirety of 2019 in Japan. That was when Wyrmprints were still in the gacha as well.

Lets go over the first year seasonal units

Summer Pecorine- First limited ever. Great at PVP on launch but got quickly powercreeped out of existence and is still shit even after buffs.

Summer Kyaru- Bullshit cat and still core. Actual must roll.

Summer Maid- Was useless on release and is still a joke after buffs

Summer Tamaki- 14 free 10-rolls when her banner was up and she wasn't even core. Nice to have not just good and many got her for free.

Halloween Shinobu- PVP core for a long time but now powercreeped. Could be considered 2nd core if you care for PVP.

Xmas Ayane- Was good for like one month. Was good for like 3 after buffs

Xmas Chika- Pretty great support unit but not really a must have. I personally don't have her even after all this time and I survive so I wouldn't rate her core

Christina- Actual core. 2nd/3rd depending on your point of view but semi-limited and had several campaigns with two of them having free rolls. Included in 1st year spark too.

New years Yui- Super core for first year as one of the best healers.

New years Hiyori- Kinda mediore. Core after buffs that happened on 2nd year of service.

Valentines Shizuru- Great support to have but not necessarily core. Can easily survive without her.

That's only 3 core units, 4 if you count PVP.
Was the "Pricunny killer" so hilariously bad that we have to pretend the first year and launch of it was horrible?

In hindsight yes but when many of them them were released they were seen as core because they countered the current meta but they were devalued quickly when they introduced new units to counter that meta instead. It was also very easy to get baited into something like Summer Pecorine or Xmas Chika/Ayane only to miss out on Summer Kyaru or NY Yui and we saw a lot of anons quit due to that or spending everything only to not get the rate-up character. It wasn't until the first anniversary that we saw interest get revitalized.

I have no idea, I'm not playing it. The point I was making is that games will deliberately be more jewish at the start and I think it's fairly safe to say that Princess Connect was much more jewish before they added sparking.

I hope this game is going to be as friendly as Rays in terms of party compositions.
I don't mind if they want players to min-max grids for challenging content like in Granblue. I just hope it also means you can play whatever you want as long as you have the stats to back up your party.

The only thing I'm salty about is that only SSRs get to use mystic artes. It's obvious that you're not going to be using any SRs later on but the fact they can't use hi ougis makes them even more useless.

I assume that people in west are less tolerant to gacha games and if there's a paid-only something, they're going to whine about it everywhere. So maybe developers wanted to avoid the backlash, I don't know.

I'm really scared of how pay2win the new Tales of games is gonna be. Getting one character is nothing, you need dupes to uncap their level and then dupes again for their memorial crystal it's fucking crazy.
It could be generous if it was single player but considering there's PVP and guilds you know this shit is really predatory and they're gonna be really stingy to push people to pay.

Any people here who tried sinoalice at launch here and dropped it? I remember Taro tweeting how he cried when he wrote the Automata event and all marketing was about an original Yoko Taro scenario and now he denies it. I looked up old famitsu interviews and there he states he wrote it. He is also listed as the scenario writer for DoD3 in the collab credits and turns out he didn't write it.

So basically, sinoalice writing is full of shit in adition to this fake advertising. They already moved the goalposts in 2018 when they said "well Taro didn't write anything for the game but he did write the collab and template for job stories".

Playing mobage on both JP and global- terrible mistake or manageable?

I actually have a rank 200 account in sinoalice jp but want to try global for the collabs I've missed, but I've made this mistake with FGO already which has harder text and the translation comes useful later. Now I'm also pondering it for crestoria, but I know the global version will always be lacking.

I tried this for some game before. Might've been PAD, I forget. I didn't keep up with it long.

I find it a lot easier to burn out fast that way. It's adding a whole new mobage to your daily mobage time, except it's more of the same stuff you're already doing.

Only you know what your limits are, so try it if you want. If you just plan to half-ass one side and take the other seriously, it might stay more manageable. Also good for getting a feel for your way around the JP version of a game, if you need it

I also did something similar with Shironeko, except there I played global for a month then ditched it to go play JP. And good thing I did, in hindsight.

Different strokes for different folks. It's an idle autobattler that takes up <5 minutes of your time per day which most people don't find enjoyable at all, they actually want something to play. It's also horrendous to catch up in as it takes a long ass time to not only get to max level (or anywhere close to it) but there's also the fact that you're missing 80% of the (limited) roster AND all of your stuff needs upgraded to 5* too. I saw plenty of interest when the PriConne anime started but most newbies ended up quitting.

Sorry for the late reply, I spent most of the day napping.

For events I'm not getting the 5*, I just play whenever I can and try to be efficient with my BP. Though, there are times where I left my BP at full for hours. Also, don't forget to use your whistles/megaphones.
When aiming for the event 5*, I just double my playtime, adding dia to the mix. I typically start out using 3 BP per live, then 6 BP later on if needed. In rare cases, I end up using 10 BP per live because I'm way behind. Try to stay above 11k for rankings, as that's where other players who are getting the 5* are at.

Farmed out 5 leather boots earlier, I think (hope) those are the best pierce resistance gear in the game right now. Giving everyone Scarlet Robes for their armor, I'm going to max out all that gear+armor this Sunday when all the ruins open.

Good idea, I've just been using Rising Phoenix for everything. There's nothing at this difficulty that I can kill in one shot on turn 1, but higher agi should help my 3 paralysis users to hopefully tie down some of the floppy-eared bastards. Managed to down the first wave of 3 but the next wave of 4 was too much.
Not entirely sure what team to use either. I saw a guy use some crazy no tank team of Rouge in the center of Rising Phoenix using Drain Energy to "tank", Katarina, Christmas Monika, Sophia and Undine. I can copy that set up so I'm trying with that for now (apparently he grinds stage 10 with it, so it must work).
In better news, after 31 days of free daily summons, I actually got an SS today! And it's not even a dupe! He seems like an interesting tank. One passive lets him take reduced damage and counter attack when attacked, and his final passive increases his counter attack damage by an "extreme amount". Anyone else here get a free SS like this yet?

i find forest stage 10 easier than the others because the first two waves are just one big enemy that rouge can paralyze, i use this team to farm it. it's very slow but it's consistent at least. can't help with the lower stages since i probably just out-statted them but if you have a parry tank that might help with the mobs

First, mobile phones have very limited capability as platform for rhythm game to begin with. To name a few, input lag, capacitive sensing accuracy, and lack of tactile feedback.
After that, idolshits are built on gacha mindset with rhythm game tacked on them. That makes the rhythm gameplay mediocre at best, from bad pattern/chart, mismatched notes vs song, etc.

While you're not wrong on that, I find that to be true for all games played on mobile, not just rhythm games, and rhythm games are the only mobile games that I've found to really have good gameplay, whether or not we're talking about gacha games.

Not him but yeah just macro to 1-3 and grab the tickets, code tickets and roll. I've gotten 2-3 accounts that seem okay and playing through. If nothing else though I'll stick with the only one that has Evante on it cause it's also got the SR Idol and SR healer girl with Bridgette so it seems pretty serviceable even if I get insanely unlucky.

But yeah before that I had a 3 ssr reroll that hasn't rolled anything to almost level 30 now so it feels dead. The other one I initially was playing on felt dead with only 1ssr and some good SRs then ti rolled 2x Gloria, Ursula and Noel so it feels really good now but no Evante, Isabella or Ravi.

Tier lists bumped up Monika, the lecia look alike, a lot as well but I have not seen her or Flour (Flower?) once in any reroll. I don't know if they don't exist or on some real rate down shit. Same thing I've noticed with a few SRs too feel like they're on a rate down like Tine, SR Idol or the SR Healer who I rarely see.

Fuck these daily dungeons. I've spent like 3 hours in the Forest of Mystery today and won once. I still need to do 2 runs of the exp daily and 2 runs of the gold daily. Gonna have to gimp my rewards and go with an easy lower tier because daily reset is in 58 minutes. Seriously, why are the daily dungeons you're supposed to do every day harder than endgame content? I cleared all 20 Subier fights. All 30 Spiral Corridor stages. I'm almost through the VH version of the story. But these fucking daily dungeons have me tearing my hair out. Every team combination, formation, pieces of equipment I'm using on this stage is met with failure after failure after failure. Game's hardly one month old and it's already harder than mobage I've been playing for years.

The thing with T7S is that the *21s (other than BokuAo) are stupidly hard compared to anything you'll get in other idol games so just because you have the skill to sight AP any chart in those games doesn't mean you have the skill to FC any of the *21s in T7S (again, other than BokuAo), never mind FP.

I'd keep that honestly. I think more SSRs is better and 3/4 of those are pretty good. I think Gloria gets underrated somewhat because dps is paramount because of lack of accessible healers, and she's probably the best looking unit in my opinion.

Evante is super strong though so if you really like her I'd keep that account and log in daily / play it for saving gems til new girls or Evante rate-up and keep rerolling for Evante. I've only seen the loli gamer once so far and I've been rerolling most of today.

Maybe Shou instead of Bridget because Shou has vastly more base HP than her and can heal on ult. Bridget's stats are overall underwhelming. Her only use is taunting people that wouldn't normally target her, like a frontline Evante.
Evante can also replace Bridget as a pseudo-tank with her invul shield given that she has enough agility to go first before enemies can unload their skills on her on the same turn.
