Tough to say because Marisa is such a hybrid character. She has decent projectiles, decent melee, decent anti-air, decent rushdown, decent blockstrings, decent mix-ups, etc., etc. Best I can think of is Akiha. She's like Marisa in that she has a little bit of everything, but she's a stronger mix-up+pressure character than she is anything else...

Aoko is more for Alice players in my opinion. Conceptually she's similar (retardo powerful mage who's something of a ditz), but mechanics-wise the only thing they share is a full screen laser attack.

But I do agree, Marisa plays more like Akiha than anyone on the roster, but it really depends on how you run your Marisa.

Melee Marisa:
Akiha (better @ mixups/combos)
V.Akiha (better @ rushdowns/pressure)

or BEAMSPAM Marisa:
Ciel (60:40 melee to projectiles)
M.Hisui (80:20 projectiles to melee)
Nero (100% projectile set-up specialist)

There's a difference between "Alice players should use Aoko" and "Aoko is more for Alice players". Nero may play more like Alice than Aoko does, but Aoko doesn't compare to any character in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody besides Alice. So my opinion isn't really wrong, you just misinterpreted it.

But you're right about the various Marisa playstyles, though I wouldn't have put Nero in there. Even the most projectile heavy Marisa doesn't quite play like Nero in my opinion.

This whole discussion has me thinking who compares best to who though...
