Whenever I was down and in the dumps, I could always rely on my friends on the j to the p to pick me up.

I've had a job for about a month now and I am already considering quitting.

Sure, being a NEET has some downsides to it, but it is still a million times better than having some guy dictate when you need wake up, what you do and how you should behave for 6-8 hours a day.

I'm afraid /jp/ operating according to its creator(s) intentions -- a containment board for unwanted content. As for why /a/b/pol/v/ are 'wanted' content by comparison, I can only guess. I don't think it's even the generals that are that much a problem -- who here isn't using a script to hide them? It's /jp/'s sharing a site with post-2016 nu-4chan that determines the type of new users it receives, and how they behave (granted, there are a lot of worse places, but still). The solution to that would seem to be that /jp/ should schism off into a separate -chan, which would obviously require hosting and moderation (that removed off-topic/spam but was otherwise non-opinionated). That's saying nothing about userbase trust and overcoming the inertia required to move them. In short wakarimasen lol.
