Burned flesh = scar tissue. Depending on the extent of the burns she could be in real danger of dying as a result of overheating because she can't regulate her own body temperature. That's what kills a lot of burns victims, and it could be a real danger for her.

The game started off as a 4chan weeaboo fest, so it ended up as set in Japan. Thankfully a lot of the other weeaboo shit (honorifics, cherry blossoms, etc) got purged during development.

Also, you can hold down shift to make letters into capitals.
