So who else had fun this weekend? I have been camping out in my fort in my room. Haven't come out at all, just for pissing and at night for food. I suggest all other NEETs do this too. Fortresses are awesome.

What is going on here

I think setting up a tent in my room would be fun.

Either that or a nice comfy fortress made out of pillow cushions or blankets draped across everything.

Hmm...

So this is why I always spend my weekends alone.

You know, it's just a matter of convincing them. Most of them aren't afraid of it like you are, so it's not even that hard. Your own fear is your greatest obstacle.

By fort I hope you mean you actually draped blankets over chairs and whatnot to create a fort with your computer inside it.

If you guys have never done this you should try it, it's awesome.

The fortress hate is disturbing. Why the hate, /jp/?

>> No.2425293

Do you make these forts because you wish to to remain in a safe, closed environment?

Sort of like your mother's womb?

Is that why, /jp/?

>> No.2425413

yeah, my room is too cold.
I dont have a sofa, though

>> No.2425412

>>2425293

A "safe, closed environment" is a biological imperative.

Why?

Because all the idiots who decided SLEEPING OUTSIDE ON THE SAVANNA IS A PERFECT IDEA got eaten by hyenas while the smart ones who thought SLEEPING IN A CAVE WITH FIRE managed to survive.

Psychoanalyze all you want, natural selection implies otherwise.

hmmmm, very nice. but may i also ask for the height, width, and materials you used to make it? also if you used any special methods to keep stuff where it is for so long. and one more thing, if you've ever thought of extending/moving it closer to your bathroom and/or kitchen for easier access?

>> No.2425666

I am generally predisposed to nice, cozy areas.

>> No.2425690

>>2425658
Well, I live in my parents' house, in the attic, so I can't really move it closer.

Anyway, basically, the blue thing is my bed, and used parts of the wall, and roof on the entire lengt of the bed. The yellow part is the entrance. The short side of it is held up by a chair, and the entrance and short side of the bed part is held up by a wooden plank. I used rope and a chair for the short-long side of the "living room" part. To separte the bed and the green living room and a small part of the entrance I used a wooden plate.

hmmm... interesting. sorry, but now i have a couple more questions, lol. anyways. ever have heat problems in your lil fortress? body heat, compy, etc. or whatnot not being able to escape from the enclosed space. i remember having that problem when i was a kid. also, what is the blob-like thing to the left in the "living room" area. a bean-bag chair?

>> No.2425797

>>2425761
The blob is a big pillow.

For the heat I have a fan,and I only have my monitor inside, but that doesn't get THAT hot. Also, I can open the window, which will help a little too.

My loft isn't quite the same as a fort, but I'm fond of it. I suppose I can flip the futon and make a tent like structure.

very nice. and thank you for answering my questions, lol. its been a while since i've seen a fort and this thread stirred up old memories mixed with structural questions.

Yeah, no problem. I was kind of surprised there were so few people here who build forts.
>>2425833
Looks nice. Also nice to see figures, I have a few in my fortress too.
