I have a question for you guys. I have a twin sister that is older than me by 7 minutes. Does that make her a nee-san or a onee-chan? I don't respect her enough to use one of the "-sama" variants.

Also it really does depend on your relationship. If you're really close you'd use "onee-chan", but if you're a bit more distant you'd use "Nee-san". That wouldn't mean you love her less, just that you respect her.

Also why would you use Japanese terms in an English speaking environment? That would be awkward.

How good having a twin is depends on how close you are. The base difference is that one is more easygoing and one is more outgoing and they diverge from there. Some twins don't end up getting along because they've diverged a lot and have little in common while for some it's the opposite and they end up being nearly inseparable.
