I've heard the reason why so many Asians are nearsighted (90% in many universities according to Norway's national broadcaster) is their shitty script combined with lots of hours reading.

Dis b tru?

>> No.2404185

Everyone knows that nearsightedness is hereditary.

If lenses were never discovered, natural selection would take care of the myopia genes.

It's not just asia. The entire world is going to need glasses one day. The former, combined with our habit of not exercising our eyes, since we spend more and more time in front of computer, making the cilliary muscles grow weaker as we barely need to focus on things far away from us.

I'm not Asian and I'm still nearsighted.

It's all thanks to Anon that I spend so much time in front of my monitor.

Nah bro. Eye glasses are a lot more practical, and if you're ugly like me you can hide your face behind a pair of fancy big eye glasses.

I can't remember what way my eyes work.

I wear glasses, and they don't bother me.

I like glasses. Proper ones can make girls look cute, and make guys look intelligent.

Why is it that people with glasses are stereotypically more intelligent?

I mean, I've worn glasses before I could read, so it's nothing to do with actually reading so much at a young age your eyes get damaged.

It's not just me, either. This girl I knew was really intelligent, and she wore glasses before she could read.

When you focus on stuff far away, one set of muscles relax and another set contracts.

When you focus on stuff close to you, the relaxing set contracts and the contracting set relaxes.

You need to get a good balance by looking at both objects.
