Let's remember how a random whore tried to break Ren and Haruka up for no reason. Let's remember that weird plot about Camus's queen mind controlling Haruka and no one except Cecil being able to tell. Let's remember Otoya and Tokiya writing love letters to each other and Natsuki and Syo holding hands and crying about how much they need each other while Haruka never has another line of dialogue again. Some of the fandisk routes were arguably just as bad and the music is still some of the best in the series

Finished the first Tachibana good end in Pigeon Blood. Best route several times over. No shaman guy as an excuse to deliver exposition we already know, major characters actually die so there's stakes, feels like the only route where the blackmail, oni and romance plots actually all fit together well rather than just being randomly smashed together, very little boring mystery solving shit, oni-Kazuki's antics were extremely entertaining in general after all the shit I've seen him get put through so far. Also ossan Tachibana was hot.

I feel like the other ending will be real disappointing after this.

Same reason people support casinos. Gambling is "fun" to many and the company extracting your money makes it even more fun, sometimes downright addicting. And since most people won't spend more than a few dollars, it's the addicts ("whales") that keep those shitty Skinner boxes afloat. I think something like less than 5% of the playerbase needs to whale to keep most games operational, but don't quote that statistic.

What gets me is most of the mobage out there don't have anything to distinguish them from each other. Every single time an idol gacha dies 10 more replace it with the same designs and themes.

Not someone who's built a gacha game but there are likely technical reasons why. Gachas communicate to a remote server to determine what is rolled by the player. They'd specifically have to design and implement a solution to generate rolls without that communication, and why would they invest resources in a game that's being shut down for lack of profit?

Sure the whole design of gacha is jewish as fuck, some better than others and I can understand the hate but some gacha games manage to have a decent story and character buildup. Not all of them are stuck in that early 2010s soshage mode where it was all nothing but card collecting with nothing else.
But I am thinking with omnipandering kusoges in mind like GBF, FGO, AK, etc. Specifically targetted games (specially female-targeted ones) are complete utter garbage most of the time, why didn't they just make it into a regular normal game? Too many mobages all about the same fucking concept.

I've played a few and only support one since the "buy rolls" option comes with extra progression items and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. And it's less evil than other gachas with a strong story focus and not too bad with the girl/guy spread.
Buying the extra currency alone is straight up insanity though- $80 for like spins when the pity limit is 14 is fucking stupid.

I wish there was a good all-boys mobage out there to idle my commute time with but they're all the same bland collection sim with extremely stingy F2P handouts and no story worth giving a damn about.

I have question about Olympia soiree, I'm not great in reading moonrunes and don't understand when who fell for who when did MC fall in love with Rikuu and Tokisada? And when did Rikuu fell for her? In prologue, his route or before prologue? When did he hear about her search for a mating partner? I think it's a well-executed but very sterile and somewhat cynical otome game. Yeah yeah, it's a pretty gruesome world, but it's not really the kind that helps you grow as a person, in fact most of the villagers seem to be regressing mentally.

Seeing the bad ends has cleared up that mystery. It's probably got some of the nastiest scenes I've seen in a BL game. Maybe stuff like PigeonBlood or Paradise is worse because it doesn't keep the fucked up shit to the bad ends but that tentacle scene was real horrific.

My overall impressions of the VN were that it was pretty entertaining though I had seen a lot of this kind of stuff before. I feel like this kind of premise, where MC is isekai'd or trapped in a place with a bunch of boys and the plot and worldbuilding is largely a framework to get MC and their boy to hang out while they learn about each other's tragic pasts and look at a bunch of weird spooky shit together or whatever is way more common in otome than BL so it was sort of new in that aspect though.

For the characters, my ranking would be Naruomi>Mio=Asuku>Koko though none of them are especially shit. Koko is only last because I really don't care for that character type and they didn't really do anything new with it. Naruomi is perfect and did nothing wrong.

Some of Mio and Asuku's ero scenes started out of nowhere. I guess everyone is lusting after Hisora on the down low because he 'smells of life' or whatever and are just looking for the first excuse to dick him but even then. Also I wish Asuku had bottomed instead but too bad.

As for Hisora the MC, he has a dog's brain and that's really all I can say about him. They use the classic otome self insert plot device of some kind of supernatural charm (in this case the life smell) that has nothing to do with the MC's actual personality or appearance to make everyone want to fuck him. It kills two birds with one stone here because it also means monsters and psycho villagers come after him so the love interests have to save him constantly.

It was fun enough though I guess. Played it all in one go and it went by fast.

I played it but I found it pretty disappointing for the most part. It's porn heavy but I didn't like the way the sex scenes were written and what little plot there was left me confused and unsatisfied across all routes. I guess Hiro was my favourite in the end caue I just found him the most likable. It's possible that people with different tastes than me are fine with this game and don't mind the part where none of the endings are happy and none of the guys are really that happy about getting fucked outside of Hiro and Maki near the end of their routes but it didn't do it for me.
