Don't like the current state of /jp/
So here's some delicious Nitori instead.
Hope you can enjoy it.

Personally, I love the concept of the Kappa Industrial Complex, and how it fits with the rest of Gensokyo.

I would have preferred it if Nitori was the lone engineer in Gensokyo rather then one of many.

>> No.2397918

I have a difficult time imagining Nitori in Gensokyo, and have an even harder time imagining the whole Kappa society possibly having access to the same technologies as Nitori.

I mean, some of the stuff is fairly easy to imagine in a primitive, comical style, but extremely accurate missiles are somewhat out there.

Cool, now if only image dumps weren't just as shitty.

Then let's discuss Kappa?

>> No.2397933

It's very Dune-like; the kappas are the Ixians and everyone else shuns technology.

Well, for things like the Extending Arm and Optical Camo, it's easy enough to dismiss them if you want, since they're spellcard names. I actually sort of wish more doujinshi had a balance of both her water manipulation capabilities and her engineering feats.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think ZUN did say something about Kappa using stuff from our world as a base for most of their technologies. Wonder if they've got working computers. I wouldn't put it past ZUN.

I've always thought of Nitori as being on the bleeding edge of Kappa progress. Experimenting and what not.
The rest of them are makers, not inventors.
That's how I see it, keeps her special and somewhat realistic. Expect for underwater foundries...

>>2397943
I've been wanting to see her using technology that complements her water manipulation. Like a water propelled jetpack. Who cares if everyone can fly, SCIENCE!

I get the impression she's one of several Kappa inventors, otherwise she wouldn't have been so surprised about the whole third leg thing.

Now we know a bit about the Kappa Nitori is better known for her friendly disposition towards humans and involvement with Marisa then she is for her technological prowess.

That logic is a bit silly. And most of the time, the hate is due to useless imagedumps that either repeat a ton of images, or have no quality checks whatsoever. But I digress. It's bad form to allow arguments into a topic that was made to escape the other things anyways.
