So I had to pay the equivalent of 1100 USD for a root canal treatment. (Fill a whole in my tooth for those of you who don't know dental jargon)

Anyway, how much would a root canal treatment in Japan cost me? And is it free in Canada? I'd rather go experience a new culture than pay another 1100 bucks for my other tooth.

A root canal is not filling a hole in your tooth, that's a filling. A root canal is when they take a piece of wire with rough bits on it and grind the root of your tooth out from underneath it. The tooth obviously dies, darkening it in color, so often times a cap will be put on the tooth to make it look healthy.
