Likewise for the most part.

I've got a limited knowledge of human form (read: very limited) Basically my drawing skill boils down to "LOL ANIME FACE CURVES UP LIKE DIS I KNO I SEEN IT ON PIXIV" but drawing human forms from scratch is difficult.

I'd probably be worlds better if I could motivate myself to draw. I must draw like.... one thing a month, if that. and even then I draw a tiny bit then leave it unfinished for weeks. Have a smokan Youmu

Not as admirable as you think because I'm very fucking stubborn in holding that rule, even for my own studies, so I have to entirely rely on teaching and catching mistakes myself. It's a pain in the ass trying to properly apply something that you've learned, but not being able to apply it properly because you wouldn't KNOW how to apply it in the first place. Not posting studies probably makes it unnecessarily difficult. There's also the fact that my drive is somewhat lacking, so I only do studies on an occasional basis.

I need to motivate myself to push my breadth if I want to draw better. As it is, I just draw whatever the hell my brain shits out.

My main drive recently was the Aki Sister's collaboration. It made me pretty sad that I couldn't contribute in any way to the collaboration because I lacked any desirable skills. I wasn't even entering it for the whole Comiket deal. I seriously flat-out just like the Aki Sisters, and I've always wanted to make a doujinshi featuring them since MoF. The collaboration just served as a reminder of that. I've been practicing a bit more, just in the slight hopes that I'd somehow reach a somewhat respectable level before the first deadline.

Of course, I haven't, but at least I don't feel like I'm completely spinning my wheels. Seriously, I need to draw from life a lot more, but I don't really go outside much, so I have to rely on photos, which are a pain to get in a respectable quality.

Trust me, it will be very, very hard. and probably for quite a while you won't finish or it will look totally bloated or inaccurate. But it's great for starting out.

Just... for the love of god, don't ONLY use posemaniacs, I know people that do, and it really shows up (in a negative way) in their artwork.

Reverting back to animu before you're sufficient in realistic forms.

Coloring when you don't understand values yet.

Solely relying on outlines to make a picture.

A beginner using multiple tools for no other reason than using multiple tools.

Practicing the wrong thing repeatedly.

Too afraid to take "risky" actions on a practice picture, such as shading and such.

"Petting" in a line with a ton of tiny strokes instead of using a single, cleaner, fluid motion.
