Bros, should I cull my eroge/game collection?

I've been working on it since 2015, first on a 1TB HDD, then on a 4TB one, But now even the 4TB is down to the last 100 GBs. Yeah, I could buy a new HDD, but instead this made me rethink whether or now there's a point to keeping something I "might play one day".

Think I should cut anything I'm not feeling like actually playing one day for sure?

I once read a really terrible nukige. It was about an evil wizard who infiltrates a kingdom and slowly gets to know all the girls. The game had at least 2-3 hours of buildup with almost no ero where he gets close to the heroines so he can befriend and supposedly exploit them. Then the game switches gears and he just kidnaps and rapes into submission all of them, making the first part absolutely pointless.

I also just wrapped up playing the fourth Nine episode.

It was alright, but I was still expecting something more. The main motivations for major characters and such were all already made clear in the previous episode, so the game doesn’t really provide any new development in terms of character arcs, no further twists there. Actual content wise the episode can be roughly split into two parts: first where the characters literally just spend time waiting for final battle doing fuck all, and the fuckall part is also where all the relationship development between the protagonist and the heroine of the episode is jammed in. In previous episodes the heroines’ relationship with the protagonist coincided with trying to solve the mystery, but here all the mysteries are pretty much already solved already, so they just sit around. I also was hoping Noa to be more interesting heroine, but she’s just your usual chuunidere + dead imouto backstory, latter of which gets so little usage in plot it’s pretty much just an excuse for why she couldn’t do a certain thing at the beginning of the game. I’d even go so far as to say she’s the weakest heroine of the bunch.

Considering the latter parts get so focused on battles I wish they had more CGs there, especially since blood really starts spraying this time around – but no, red screen and dimmed sprite it is. One great thing I liked about the presentation was the villain interrupting credits. As far as chuuni games go however, there’s better ones around right down to similar plot elements like protagonist having time loop powers and villains outbullshitting those time powers. I also dislike the whole fourth wall breaking player as actor plot element, which also has been done to death and better elsewhere, especially since it doesn't really get fleshed out in any way. Presentation wise the devs also went out of their way to create a flowchart, but it’s just completely unnecessary fluff here that feels like lip service to aforementioned plot elements because they sold the game in separate episodes so there’s no room for interaction or choices, which naturally means what little interaction there is, is completely linear.

Overall, I enjoyed the ride and there’s some good moments here and there, but it’s really just a “been there done that already” kind of series.

Gamedesign, story, the first cutscene. Unfortunately (?) I seem to have avoided all bad endings so far, but even outside of that, the presentation is so silly. The blood looks so dumb as well, it's just great. The voice acting also adds to it. They got themselves pretty meh to average actors, that perform about as good as they need to during the serious scenes, to keep the trashy atmosphere going. No good voice acting to be found. Expect exaggerated screaming and bawling you can laugh at. And with any good trash, some of the underlying ideas aren't even bad.

I didn't even mind the combat so much, it just very much seemed like a dull game though. Most of the story is literally at the beginning and end of each route and then you have some small events when you encounter/beat each faction.

If you don't feel like playing as the ugly fatass Borja or the Angel (Who has no H on her route) you basically can just skip those routes. It felt like they tried to make a game that had a route for everyone but then the game just felt half-assed as a result.
