I heard that there are bad ends in idolm@ster, but I have a hard time believing that its true. So could someone tell me if there really are bad ends, and what they are? This may actually raise my interest in these games even more.

That's only in Story mode.
In Free produce mode (where there are no IUs nor continues), the bad ends follow the 360 ones, iirc.

There are bad, good and normal ends in SP Free Produce and the original iM@S, depending on where you choose to do the last concert and how much you fail at it (the best end requiring 80%+ voltage and the Dome).
The SP Story has no bad ends.
