I installed the leaked UBW patch, and then a few days later, the real thing arrives. Should I bother getting it? Is it any different? Will it mess up all my saves?

>> No.234208

Just get it anyways. Your saves will be fine.

>> No.234210

do it faggot

>> No.234213

Official patch fixes some grammatical errors in the leak. Also gives the option of installing the voice files if you have Realta Nua (or download an iso.)

It shouldn't fuck up your saves. Not totally sure on that one, though, though I'm sure someone else will chime in if they have had their saves from a UBW-leak play corrupted.

Uninstall FSN and go play Tsukihime, it will be more satisfying.

I can't really be bothered with the voice patch, I can put up with the occasional spelling and grammar blip and I really can't be arsed to download however many megabytes of DVD support I don't even need.

Ascalon(or whatever the hell his name is)'s patch works fine for me, so with bother?

>> No.234277

it killed my saves, but thats probably because i installed it on a different windows login

>> No.234281

Did the official patch fix the "Do you have enough swords?" line or is it still lame at totally fucked up?

>> No.234514

>>234281
it was never fucked up to begin with. thats the correct translation and think about it why would he say swords? gilg has all kinds of weapons not just swords.

>>234514

Yeah, but it's just like when that fansub group translated the Death Note line as "Just like I planned". It's just as valid, if not more valid, than the translation the fans are familiar with, but since we knew the line for months as "just as planned" we consider it to be the 'right' translation that everyone should use.
