Harry Potter and Nasuverse have two very different methods of magic.
In the Nasuverse, magic can and will harm the user.
Kiritsugu's Time Control is evidence of this.
Oppositely, Harry Potter has full on time-reversing devices (which we see in book 3 and NEVER HEAR ABOUT AGAIN) that are completely harmless.
