- The whole aspect of having this kind of public congratulations event is in bad taste, ZUN getting married has nothing to do with Touhou, it gives off a religious-devotion-to-touhou feel, also the lyrics are bad
- Initially it was supposed to be instrumental and the lyrics were commissioned at the behest of a select group in the RTS committee, I think the whole thing was put on by the committee
- The lyrics were put on the back of the catalog and at the end of Reitaisai (same day as ZUN's wedding) there was an big attempt to get people to sing along, and barely anyone sang because it was fuckin weird

This was my perception of what happened but it was a while ago and may be inaccurate, but to sum up in a word, cringe

I wasn't aware of the drama behind this until a little while ago, either.
