It probably won't help much outside of Japan, but it does give domestic sales a decent let up over comparable titles.
Although honestly for Aniplex this is probably more about rolling the dice on franchise creation than the success or failure of any particular title. There is still plenty of talent in the VN industry and titles are comparatively cheap to make, and one success coming from the label that can be turned into a multi-media franchise would pay for quite a few disappointments.

99% would easily. Obscenity tests aren't made via one part of the product but the product as a whole and if 1 part of it is found to pass, the entire thing is passed. Most nukige would pass since there's usually some semblance of story with the occasional heartfelt moment, or in the ones where you're the bad guy one could probably argue that it's supposed to make you feel like a piece of shit because of how blatantly evil the protagonist is since they're usually cartoon villain levels of bad and thus succeeds in creating an unusual experience. Though yeah there's some that might not make it through, on average anything that isn't a <2 hour nukige will probably be fine though.

Not arguing for/against but 90% of the reason I purchase steam titles is specifically so I don't have to fiddle around with all that file related bullshit. >Baldr Sky 1/2, Grisaia, MLA, SubaHibi, Dies irae
Baldr Sky would came out better and earlier as fan-tl.
Grisaia had fant-tl, and again would have better as fant-tl because of years of delays.
Subashitty was fan-tl, it was delayed for so long that everyone gave up on it and it flopped badly.
Muv Luv also had fan-tl and official release was censored and cropped. The kickstarter was so much of absolute shitshow that entire trend to KS VNs died in next few years.
Dies Irae was cropped, again the KS was so incompetent that many gave up.
So, according to your examples its better not to support official mosaic releases.

Pretty sure MangaGamer's kickstarter for their shitty game with Itaru art was run pretty well.

I wouldn't say it was competently run since they managed to put themselves back $30k+ even with the 200k they raised.

It was competently ran, they just overpaid on the translation AND didn't get a great translation which is just inexperience in the business. The backers got everything in a timely manner and there wasn't any notable drama or delays. Even with the below-average translation it still came out better than most sekai project releases.

But you're the one talking about "acclaimed kamige". Rance X is #1 on EGS and up at the top of vndb. Also if you consider Sona-nyl an otome game then Subahibi is one too, retard.

Libra had one of the best if not the best kickstarter campaign that I backed. The promotional guy was everywhere, all friendly and answering every question.
A shame about Libra being such a shitty title in the end and them paying so much for a NukigeGamer tier translation. Did they ever fix it? I remember them having some sort of patreon, but I stopped following and caring about it a long time ago.
>>23070218
Dies irae is uncut and mosaic free too, at least the MangaGamer version, I find it strange that only them are selling it outside of steam, but I still wouldn't support it just because they released a full HD version of Dies irae for Japan the same year and they never fulfilled one of their kickstarter promise which is a combined version of Dies irae which contains both the extra all ages content and H-scenes.
SubaHibi is mosaic free too, but Frontwing cut out one CG and tried to DMCA the fan restoration patch and SCA-Ji writing on twitter how SubaHibi didn't sell Nekopara tier copies despite them getting 105k $ for a almost finished fan-translation is another thing, so fuck them too.

3 Alicesoft titles is another thing, in a few years they will need a separate Rance/Alicesoft Top 10 chart.
8 KaguraGame titles in the third party chart.
I'm more surprised that Ciconia didn't make it in the chart, not even on the steam chart, there's no way that Funbag Fantasy is more popular than Ryuukishi07.

Anything besides MG's usual nukige of the week. I generally enjoy any of them that has story for me to spend most of my time in whether that's gameplay games like Rance/Evenicle or more slice of life like Aokana/Sanoba Witch. (Also apparently it's pretty hard to find MG games I actually played)

For slice of life/moege you could go with Amakano, or another game that picks your fancy from Nexton or one of their subsidiaries since they seem to be more interested than ever in the English scene.

Makes me think they want to license some cheap, non-voiced doujin titles, or some titles they want to license are too expensive due to the voice acting.
