How does /jp/ Touhou? Keyboard, gamepad or arcade stick? I personally use keyboard. I can 1cc normal with it. With gamepad...I lose a life at stage 2 on PCB. Shitsux. I want to try using arcade stick and play legit but my USB ps2 controller adapter fucks up the directional stick for my arcade stick.

Pic related. This is what I wanted to do to my little sister when she interrupted me when I was fighting Chen and died.

She strikes again.

I used to use a gamepad, but it broke, so now I use a keyboard.

>> No.2300805

Keyboard is best

Arcade Joystick > Custom Game Pad > Standard/Adapted Gamepad = Finger-conforming Keyboard > Standard Keyboard

>> No.2300814

I used to use gamepad but I've switched over to the PS3 SF4 fighting stick. Touhou is fucking impossible on a fighting stick. My fingers cramp like crazy holding down focus.

Try Good Keyboard > rest > crappy keyboard (the ones where you can't hold z, shift, and a diagonal at the same time)

keyboard = stick > pad

Y'all faggots talking about fighting sticks are the problem with consumers today.
Touhou only has digital input movement, keyboard is the best. Fight sticks are only useful for fighting games because you can feel the 8 corners which make the standard "numpad" combos easier to execute.

Shmups are meant to be played with stick, smart guy. But, keyboard is also a valid input method for something like Touhou. hence "keyboard = stick > pad"

>> No.2300863

A true lover of Touhou plays Touhou regardless of whatever input devices he is playing with.

>> No.2300882

Used to be keyboard but now I play with pad. Slightly less precision, but moving around feels more natural.

Also, it's easier to mash focus with the index finger than with the left pinky.

I use keyboard. I can't understand how youn can play with anything else, personally.

Gamepad. But I really want to use a stick.

Little scarlet sister.

I tried using a Dualshock when I first played Touhou. It was bad. I didn't had the precision I got later with the keyboard, which I'm sticking with till this day.

I wonder about sticks, but I'm not really looking for one.

>> No.2301020

You probably never even tried anything else.

I use a PS3 pad. For flying around I use the left analog stick which makes movements much more fluid. For micrododging and streaming I just quickly switch to the dpad which is just as accurate as keys on a keyboard.

Keyboard.

>> No.2301034

I play touhou by mounting my keyboard to the underside of my desk slamming my penis into it repeatedly.

>> No.2301043

>>2301020

I do that for Ikaruga on the GC, but it didn't worked too well with Touhou. But I think it's not the controller's fault, is just that I'm more precise with the keyboard. Maybe I'll finally be able to clear Ikaruga if I can play it with one.

>> No.2301057

chillstream gamepad. I love the coolness it brings everytime when I play touhou. Feels good man.

Same, that's why I bought a decent keyboard. Needed one anyway.

>> No.2301313

I use a shitty gamepad, probably part of the reason im stuck at normal. But it feels good man.

And here I though a laptop would be a good platform for portable Touhou.

>> No.2301555

Completed touhou on a keyboard, Mushihime-sama on a joypad and Daioujou on an arcade stick. No input device will hold me back.
