That's fair, and I agree. Really, my aim is about making my study both effective and enjoyable. I want to play more games instead of just read books, but if I can't streamline the study, it's going to become too slow and stressful to maintain further on. That's why I've tried to refrain from using Anki again, because it was the biggest source of my stress. It works, but I can't help but spend a lot of time studying every word I come across, make a card of it, and then come back to it in Anki. That's not compatible with my health long-term.

You think reading without using any kind of SRS is effective? I've replayed the same introduction to the game 3-4 times and not remembered easier vocabulary. I tend to remember 'harder' or more complex words with greater ease somehow, though.
