I wanted to see what was so great about curry so I bought a box from the store and made it for dinner. It said HOT on the box, but it wasn't hot at all. Did I get a crappy box or do japs just not like spicy food?

>> No.2290727

probably just a shitty product
I've heard their are a handful of Indian and Mexican restaurants in Japan so it can't be that they don't like spicy foods
then again, I haven't heard too many good things about their steaks

It's probably just that it's a store-bought thing. I have one of those, used it a couple times; it's good, but not especially spicy.

Dice the fuck out of a few serrano peppers and toss them in next time.

Was it Golden Curry? Cause that stuff is pretty mild.

As someone from /ck/, I've had quite a few curries just for the hell of it. Japanese curry is on the mild side while some Indian curries might put some of you in the bathroom for days.

yeah I think that was it. I went to a japanese restaurant one time and the food there was all pretty bland too, especially compared to korean food with chili paste in everything.

Coincidence, Anonymous. I made some Vermont Curry tonight.

WASABI motherfucker, do you know it?

Who buys boxed curry? I make might from scratch. That way you can add more curry and chili powder. If you don't feel like you're going to die afterward, it's not spicy enough.

>> No.2292722

As a britfag, the curry makes up part of my core diet. Just as others have said, make your own or go to a take away if you're looking for spicy. Boxed curries are nice, but not especially spicy.
