I'd like to know WTF makes Yuka so intimidating. I mean her ability is flower manipulation and she's been compared to Yukari in terms of power! I also saw that one PV where she apparently starts spreading her flowers around and this is cause for all of Gensokyo to take action.

This is coming from a Touhou newbie, obviously.

Well thinking about it logically plants do have the most power in any universe.
They can take energy from hundreds of different sources and all they do with it is store it.

Depends on what you get out of both. Cave Story is a good indie platformer with a surprisingly good plot. Touhou is a STG with a surprisingly productive fanbase... though 'good plot' is a commonly argued one, ZUN is pretty fucking crazy/drunk.

The problem isn't that it has too little fighting (though the first part was just seven chapters of nothing at all happening), it's that the fighting is depicted in a retardedly boring way and everybody just jobs to the Invincible Moon Bitch who, while her power of calling all the powers of a couple million gods at will is pretty hax alright, seems to be the only character who actually remembers her own powers and uses them. It's just bad writing, that's all.
