-Yuubari Kai-II will be implemented in January.
-The Fall 2019 Event, "Attack! Second Southern Operation", is scheduled to end on Jan. 14th at 12:00 JST. It is a large-scale event with 4 main operation maps and 2 EOs. The Extra Operation has been implemented. E-5 is the "Patrol off Davao" while E-6 concludes the event with "Fierce Fight! The Third Battle of the Solomon Sea" where Air Defense Cruiser Hime awaits.
-Friend Fleets have been added to E-1, E-4, E-5, and E-6.
-There are 7 new shipgirls. CA-30 USS Houston is a drop in E-4 while the IJA's Shinshuu Maru is the map reward. Aussieland CL Perth is the E-3 reward while Dutch CL De Ruyter is an E-3 drop. Japanese destroyer Akishimo and DE Hirato are drops at E-5. The E-6 reward is CL-51 USS Atlanta.
-There are 4 New Year's quests available.
-New and returning New Year's seasonal CGs and voice lines have been implemented.
-The November ranking rewards have been distributed. No new equipment was implemented, just more Gingas.
-More Kai-II are planned to release after the event. The following ships will receive another remodel at some point in the future:
-->Kai-IIC: Hiei in the spring.
-->Kai-II: Gotland, Yahagi, Kaga
-->Kai-II side remodel: The rest of the Kongou-class; Shigure (could be Kai-III)
-More Fletchers will be implemented in the future, some illustrated by ZECO. Matsu-class from the Type D Destroyers are being prepared for the 7th year of KanColle.

I spent all my baux trying to S rank node V in E6 I am down to 2.7 now so I think I am going to have to drop to medium. I think I will go hard farming baux and buckets till the last day and try one more time but this is really summer 2019 all over again. This shit is insane.

Watching Death Usagi not be able to do this has scared me.

I finished two last maps on medium and I have no regrets. E5 had no difference in the rewards between M and H, and the difference between E6M and E6H was ridiculous. Tanaka is mad.

I was about to be with you man but the miracle run finally happened. Green T and Nelson touched on 2nd shelling. Pretty much everyone just dogpiled onto Hiei and Fletcher throughout the entire day. Entered yasen with only the boss and 1 BB Water Oni alive which was already the best run I've had by a wide margin. FF Yukikaze landed a 560 TCI onto the boss to bring her to taiha while my Yuudachi shot the Oni with her TCI and Ayanami failed TCI but still killed her. The run directly prior to this we killed a grand total of ONE ship throughout all phases in Parallel, that's how far luck can swing on this fight. Seriously fuck Tanaka for this one.

I'm surprised you got that far without resorting to multiple radars. You should go into S expecting to send one back during chipping. Reaching the boss with 2 or even 4 ships missing shouldn't stop you from dealing a couple hundred damage to the boss, and with those resources, that's better than wasting a run.

I've been trying since before FF was added. I was getting sniped so much that I just decided to stack my TCI girls at the top and pray they would land one of those crazy 700+ shots into her before they inevitably died. It's ridiculous man and as much as I wanted to just quit there's still 9 days left. You just need that magic run.
I cannot stress enough how almost none of my runs were even coming close. The enemies would always start picking off my girls in 2nd shelling and would enter yasen with the boss untouched and my escort in shambles. It's next level aimbot going on for some people. If there's any luck left to give I wish everyone still trying the best of luck.

I'm only about to start LD myself, but yeah, I doubt you can afford not having a full fleet of 12. I think I had 5 radars in my fleet during chipping. The biggest step for me was getting comfortable with sending a ship back at K. Also, as a tip for the next phase, you'll definitely want to use Nelson touch when you go to S rank V. She needs to be fast though.

KanColle doesn't have skins. In every game I've played skins are permanent alternate appearances that you unlock, either in game or for money, then have as a customization option. That's not what KanColle CGs are; they're time limited, you don't need to unlock them, don't keep them, and they aren't optional. I have no problem getting pass the night battle node even with gotland searchlight.
But the damecon on kumano and akitsushima is vital. Node S has the highest chance of taiha happening, that said though, it is not that easy to trigger the damecon. I went to the boss node twice with taiha and none of the damecon was used.

I can only speak for how I used them but I only used them with the purpose of repairing my escort fleet, since I was using Kamo instead of Akashi.

The idea, and in practice with what I saw, was that I would most likely get a chuuha'd ship from the sub node or some form of scratch damage from the node after or yasen node. In the case of a chuuha'd ship the goal was to get it back to shouha to at least prevent a damage modifier being placed on the chuuha'd ship.

So with regards to the node that would just BTFO me more often then not. I would only get Taiha's in the main fleet. Very rarely would I get turned back in the escort. This is in part due to overkill mechanic which is aided by the fact that my escort fleet, due to anchorage repair, repaired all of the scratch damage done giving the ship full HP.

If I somehow survived S and made it to AAhime at least I would have a chance in dealing some boss damage with a shouha'd ship as oppose to a chuuha'd ship post anchorage repair, if aforementioned ship came unscathed from S.

So being able to repair a chuuha'd ship back to shouha and hoping it can dodge, to repairing scratch in order for overkill mechanics to proc; it significantly boosted my boss appearance rate.

but look at the pic related. I still got my meme medal and considering I had to do a lot of work around with my fleet due to non obtainable oldfag equipment such as toukais to prevent useless OASWs; I would say it was quite useful.

I'm not saying that though. In fact, I think it's stupid not to try bringing it. Your repair ship isn't doing anything better with her slots. I'm just saying it's one dice roll in a hundred. It's not a gamechanger. Its use can be invalidated with almost no effort on the enemy's part. It's not the thing that made you clear the map. If this one extra dice roll determined your victory, then you surely could have brute forced it in time. That's not a reason not to use every spare dice you've got, but nobody in their right mind would go out of their way to use this if they weren't already forced to bring a repair ship. It's only useful out of inconvenience.

Depends, if Akashi then yes I would agree. If Akitsushima that's another story. If the anchorage repair wasn't helping me to the extent it did I would put god zuiuns to help do some damage at the sub node in hopes of avoiding closing torp. Especially beneficial for me since I don't have a full toukai base and using stupid inadequate 931s. You could put a damecon on her if you couldn't put it in a RE. You could put a radar on her to free up slots. You could put a spf, which is highly recommended to free up CAVs in main.

Not doing anything with her slots would be a stretch to say the least.

Its always like this. This event hasn't change anything. Even if you lock all the bonus ships you could power level in time and still re and damegami them etc. In my case wasn't interested in doing that but ymmv

Are the rewards even remotely worth it? Some people want to be free from spending 9 days plugging away at failed runs. If I didn't already have 17 memedals I would have dropped the difficulty.
