I personally believe that the previously stated characters do not belong to their respective categories. Some of them because they're overranked (Ciel) and a few of them for the opposite reason (Kohaku)
However, this is just my personal opinion and I understand that yours may differ. Since discussions about personal preferences tend to convert a thread from regular category into one of the so called 'Hails of fecal waste' I will not pretend to have further 'proof' of that statement besides my personal beliefs.

Even if there's a character I don't particularly like I'll still play their route, and it almost always is worth it and I usually like the character more by the end. Unfortunately I'm a completionist so I force myself through all of the routes no matter how bad the game is. The only time this has paid of was with Wind, where the only good route is unlocked after clearing all the others.
