I have a theory on how it COULD be done. Shirou doesn't HAVE to become Caster's master per say, if he takes care of her wounds, feeds her, and provides her with mana via tons of sex. Caster helps teach Shirou to be a better magi and he summons Saber anyways as his servant. She doesn't actively participate in battle, she supports the two of them so she doesn't burn her mana as quickly. Shirou x Saber x Caster = fucking rape. Caster's real wish is to be loved anyways, if she had that with Shirou she'd probably pass on the grail in favor of it.
