Not sure if /jp/ cares but NicoNico updated the german and spanish versions of its site yesterday.

Still the one I can read as good as German.

OP here.
I kinda guessed some people with broken spanish/german knowledge might be interested (as well as native speakers).

Originally I wanted to post about the update on krautchan but it's still down due to "lol, let's just take a shop from the internet seriously"

The updates are pretty slick. Though it looks as if the spanish one was made by mexicans considering it looks lower-budget than the german update.

Hmm... I don't go to the taiwanese version so I don't know. Maybe someone should check out.

Why a Spanish version, but still no English? Do they really value the Latin American community more than us civilized English speakers?

>> No.2264305

>>2264287

In case you didn't notice, Japan seems to be getting a rather big hard-on for everything Spanish lately. Hell, there are Japanese people learning to play the Spanish guitar just to be able to play songs that we already considered lame fifty years ago.

I don't particularly understand it, but hey, if it leads to more Bleach-like hilarious Spanese, I'm all for it. I don't even watch the series, but just reading the enemy names around the magazines makes me chuckle.

>civilized english speakers
Gaia, /b/, etc.

Also, a lot of japanese descendants live in Latin America. The general weeaboo/japanophile rate between hispanics and spaniards is also higher than in AngloSaxon countries, mainly because they have more tradition in watching animus opposed to US and UK which mostly almost only got american shows (Latin America and Europe imported form both US and Japan from early on in the 60s and 70s).
I can also easily see they might be more interested in penetrating into that market which won't shoot down their servers by incoming traffic from dotslashing.

I don't think we have to state anything about Germany as it has been proven enough times that Japan is weeaboo towards Germany.

Oh, yeah and that. Spanish seems to be getting popular in general (like flamenco and stuff) but also Gaudi, Barcelona and Catalonia are insanely popular.

>Spanese
Welcome to having reverseweeaboos. We germans have been enjoying this doubtful priviledge since the 19th century (considering even the japanese Hymn was arranged by a Prussian/German military musician).

The spanish translation is still horrible. I don't care though, I browse it in japanese because I can't stand the spanish commentaries in the videos. The japanese ones are probably as retarded as them, but I can tolerate it because I don't understand anything except for the 'wwwww's.

Yes. I live close to the Sagrada Familia and there's a lot of japs every fucking day.

Be honest, if there was a catalan translation you wouldn't mind.

Also, the spanish translation is indeed horrible. But at least the banners and the blog post were somewhat correct this time. I guess they don't want to redo fucking everything.

Also: Protip: You can just deactivate the comments.
Whatever, I browse the german version. Krautchan seems the only one posting over there so it has a more familiar feeling to it.

I wouldn't complain about this even if it was the fucking worst translation ever. Both spanish and catalan are my native languages, but it'd be fun browsing niconico in catalan.

Yeah, mcanime is useful for downloading series - they have such a nice classification system, makes it so fast to find stuff... but a lot of people in there are just stupid. I don't really mind the emoticon overuse (sometimes an emote is useful to convey that you're joking or whatever without explaining the joke. Excess comes from people being unable to tell when enough is enough, simply) but really, there's so much stupidity in there at times that it *hurts*. I was around for a while, trying to contribute actual discussion, until the day I had one facepalm too many and and went away.

While I'm german I live currently in Barcelona. It's official, catalonia has the biggest weeaboo:population density in Europe. Though no wonder considering how many animes you get from the local TV station. Fuck, you pretty much are a weeaboo colony considering you even got JAM Project and about one anime con for every month of the year.

>> No.2264866

Oh, and that would make us three people from catalonia in /jp/.
