any tips for learning japanese?

its a frustating cycle of:
1)get a intense desire to learn japanese again
2)give up
3)decide i want to learn a 2nd language
4)think about languages id like to learn

Since it's quite obvious that you're never going to get anywhere with Japanese, take up something else. Sewing is a practical skill that surpasses all language boundaries.

There really are 2 different groups of people on /jp/. The 2Dfags on one side and the 3D fags on the other side. Being a 2Dfag myself, I'll try to describe them with as little bias as possible:

2D fags prefer to talk about Touhou, Hatsune Miku, Idolmaster, Visual Novels, Neta, figs, and doujin based content. Most of the 2D fags are veterans from old-/a/ that have a decent grasp of 4chan's culture.

3D fags prefer to talk about j-dramas, j-news, j-pop, the Japanese language/people, and idols. 3D fags tend to have a small understanding of 4chan's culture. This is evident in their awkward use of emoticons and double quotes ">>".

One of the few things 2D and 3Dfags have in common is that both of them enjoy NEET, ronery, and hikikomori discussions.
