I think that a series of long OVAs would work much better then an Anime, if they end up covering the games. The events by themselves don't take too long and by doing it in episode form would end up having lots of shitty filler included.

Though I can also see an slice of life Anime too, kinda like the Inaba Manga.

But as much as I want to see this, given the fact that ZUN probably already declined several offers, it is likely that we will never see an official adaptation.
