Many have wondered why such a vibrant character would be discontinued to nothingness by ZUN but as someone who's not full-on ironic or not Mima poster on every oportunity
I'm gonna try to list facts in logical order, as much as my non-native-speaker grammar allows me to. Explaining why Mima won't be seen anywhere it in official works by ZUN

1.The fact that she is forever abandoned to appear anywhere, or even implied she had taken part of anything that happed by ZUN is just complete trash brainlet ironic shitposting, here's why
We all know that anyone being criminally forgotten ends up in Gensokyo but what if the exact oposite, and that's belief and awareness she's always there is applied? Well basically Reimu and with Yukari's help if needed tells her to fuck off to real world where everything is boring and where she's your common definition of a ghost IRL. While when forgotten and being able to end up and stay in Gensokyo, made her visible because Yukari and her abilities made "common sense" the top tier Gensokyan meme.
2. It's actually the fault of Mima haters but ironically her most loyal supporters, why - because hating or loving you |believe| in a being that's invisible on our side and not precievable by humans outside Gensokyo, and she doesn't meet the quota for Gensokyo pass either, so she's probably wandering hopelessly, getting an intensified depression each year few months before next game's release.
3. Even if she taught Marisa and was her guide the rules are the rules,
"Gensokyo is for humanity history greatest rejects and abominations so if major popluation outside here thinks you're there but you can't prove it taking nature of your existence, sucks to be you Mima-san" is what I'd imagine either Reimu or Yukari saying to her before giving her a big fat bomb to the face to remove her.

I know you spergs are gonna shit post, but even if ironically and if you actually want her to appear anywhere at any point think for a while about all above, there's a reason why least popular 2hu's appear most often in the manga, taking for granted that usual incident intercepting squad is always in manga or games is a given, they are the main hoes running this shit bit sometimes even someone as irrelevant overall as Youmu or even Cirno in grand scheme get to be part of incident solving, because ZUN just wants to stop constant yapping and bitch tears about your favorite 2hu's not being playable.
