Somewhat detailed and technical instructions on how to get this bitch running. I don't guarantee the quality or functionality of the game or anything I say, but at least now you know it's playable. We've got a couple of people already playing the routes.

YES, IT'S SOMEWHAT PLAYABLE.

I'm also fielding any questions, TLWiki related or not.

Also, the files mentioned in that link can be found on the Tokyotosho torrent or your Xbox 360 CD.

"Sort of" good job, bro.

>> No.2245796

Holy shit. Somewhat playable is good enough for me.

>> No.2245801

I'd prefer anything Sumaga-related, bro.

>> No.2245819

>>2245801
Manual insertion progress for Sumaga is halted while I deal with Noah porting. As soon as I port it all, I'm considering picking up insertion of Sumaga again since Nagato (another staff member) is manually inserting already-translated C;H lines while checking for the script incompatibilites.

Just use the so called "unstable" 7zip. It works fine, might skip a section or two, but whatever, Spica's still great and you have skipped sections to look forward to when replaying the full version.

Or something like that.

Any progress on regular C;H going past RC1? Or should I just quit waiting?

>> No.2246206

>>2246017
The new images are on the SVN and the old method of "insert all of the raw images manually on the Noah category page using wikitext" scares me. m4x gave us instructions on how to do it, so it's now possible to do it on our own.

>>2246068
RC2 uses NSIS, repackages the CGs and NSS files into a patch NPA, installs Applocale shortcuts, and will come with 2 versions: online and offline, along with including the demo chapter (basically all of the characters being silly). With all of these improvements, there's less of a chance of fuckups on the user side. Unless you're absolutely retarded.

The online version downloads the stuff you need as you check them off on the list. Say you want softsubs; you don't have to download the extra 70MB for the hardsubs anymore.

The offline version includes everything and is your usual Installshield-looking huge executable.

The hacking and porting part is taking a while. One month and we barely have the progress that I would've liked to have. Resoultion hack is done but still screws up sometimes for some reason, savegame timestamps and functionality is limited, etc.

>>2247326
That's up to LoSs to decide. Hacking comes first, so that he (and 2ch + 2chan. We can get some staff, maybe...) can pirate and play it.

(But I, personally, would like the Rimi + Nanami routes first)

>> No.2247416

Do you guys know any romhackers with PSP knowledge? We totally need a iM@S SP translation. Or at least just the scripts extracted.

ViruX probably isn't interested in hacking that, anyway. We have nicer and more Windows-y things to reverse-enginner first.

Also, any translators want to help out with stuff? LoSs is burdened with MuvLuv TE and all...

The archive file (the YUMFILE*.BIN) is a pretty simple format. Any file that is compressed uses a standard LZSS compression. I don't have a PSP so I don't really care enough to work on this project but any programmer should be ok for the job since there's not much PSP-specific knowledge required, except for the audio maybe. I also suggest making a new topic if you're serious about the project.

Pic related.

MuvLuv Total Eclipse.

>> No.2248828

>>2248315
Here's a program I just threw together before dinner. It should help whoever decides to do the repacking. The quality of the code isn't that great but it works. It also doesn't handle the compression. Go grab a copy of LZSS.C if you want that code.

Isn't it side story that happens along with alternative or little after the alternative? or does it happen little before alternative? Atleast it happens in alternative-verse.

Honestly, "somewhat" playable is better than I thought you were. I'm not an EXPURT HACKER but I figured going from xbawks to windows would've been a nightmare.

I guess them both being microsoft makes it easy.

>> No.2250476

>>2250465
Oh thanks for fixing, always was under wrong impression that it was during or after alternative. But any translated muv-luv is good in my books.

>> No.2250963

>>2250474
It's unrelated to "both being Microsoft".

The game engine for the 360 game is a direct port of the original N2System engine for the PC which is what C;h PC used, so as a consequence, almost everything(scripts and most of the other resources) should work on a PC if transferred. The reason this isn't easy is because the PC N2System contains many hardcoded values like the game resolution in many places, which need to be changed to 1280x720 now, as well as a changed container for the movies. That sums up the main differences between the 2 versions.

>> No.2251210

>>2250963
Everything's correct there, except that they hired CRI to use the Sofdec suite to scramble the MPEG2 video stream. Once we crack it, though, /v/ and the Sonic community will enjoy their new 1080p video rips.

>> No.2252626

Last-ditch effort to attract any translators. Neither pristine quality nor fast speed is necessary, but having translations better than excite.co.jp is.

Having another assembly hacker would also be nice.
