Hi all.

A while ago my sister came on here asking for help on visual novels to cheer me up as I was in hospital.

Am back home now, but still in traction.

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to the people that helped her find and download some to, ahem, help me kill time, I really appreciate it.

I'd like to do more of them, what are the best of the older ones that are translated, and also, what are the best of the latest?

Not really into rape, but lesbian, or incest are OK and I also like older women..

Anyhow, thanks again, it was mighty decent of you guys n girls...

I know of none besides these:

Why would I lie? I came on here to say thanks, and for any other tips?

I have no idea what you mean, I speak the Queens English I'll have you know!

>>2233131

Actually, its not true, but I don't care so don't bother trolling, this is the internet and nobody cares about you.

>>2233076

I would prefer translated, am fine if something has furigana though, still working towards JLPT level 2.

>>2233086

Oh yes, that was the first one she said I should play. That was the one that got me hooked, and why I'm back looking for more!

Thank you helpful anons and piss off trolls!

Trolls just want you to admit that you're finding porn for yourself, and last time you found porn for yourself.

Just use vndb.org's list. If you want more accurate suggestions you need to tell us your more favorable genres of writing.

>>2233170

Well, whatever. I'm beyond caring about trolls anyhow.

So, are there any really good visual novels for kids or girls that are NOT porn and have been translated that are a blast? A friend has a daughter aged 10 who has become interested in Japanese culture and I'd like to find something for her too.

Also, VN's that are NOT porn in general would be interesting to try,so, any suggestions from first hand experience, jp?

Only interesting in stuff that can be downloaded for free, obviously..

Thanks for the link btw.

Since you know a little Japanese may I make a suggestion then? Install rikaichan onto your browser, get AGTH, there's a few guides out there to how to set it up and places to ask questions like hongfire. You can pull the kanji out of most visual novels and read it through rikaichan, it's not quick as reading in English of course but it gives you access to almost anything.

If you like incest I'd go with Clover Point, I'm reading it now and damn, it's good.

Hey thanks!

I normally use TPB, but old torrents die quickly there, any reccomended trackers for VN's with good seed rates anyone?

Thanks for the tip! Would hardly call JLPT "a little Japanese though"! ; ]

>> No.2233578

If you know some Japanese why would you want English translations? VNs are an excellent way to learn the language while not boring yourself to tears. If you need to find out the readings every now and then use AGTH

Personally I lack the time to go through untranslated visual novels while adding all the new stuff to anki. It worked nicely whenever I tried it though so I'll do that when I have more time.

You're only going to get better at Japanese by doing things in Japanese. Using translations is a cop-out

Normally I would agree, after all all the music and tv shows I listen to / watch are in Japanese, but I do not enjoy reading Japanese one bit, I want to obtain JLPT level 1 and then go on to some of the business exams, but seeing the amount of shit Japanese people write about the outside world and their generally shitty world view, I actually have little interest in reading Japanese, especially with all their loan words, and in-jokes, messing with words etc, so I like to play games and read in English actually.

>> No.2234808

>>2234778
I'm the opposite, I love reading and hate listening. Reading is easy and you go at your own pace, when you listen you can mishear words, they talk too fast, or you hear what they said and you're can't really figure out what they meant because of all the homonyms. Probably because I mostly learned from VNs and manga though
