This went exactly as I thought it would. People look at random fully coloured twitter images, thinking the artist will somehow do great work that looks exactly like it, while never once thinking about the fact that the artist had no deadline at all for those images, has never worked on a manga or webcomic and that it's going to be in black and white. At least some people were sceptical enough.

The thing is the magazine isn't as much of reference material as you think. You can take it as interview and communication with fandom in paper form.
ZUN could highlight some canon stuff there but it's not its entire purpose. You should've known this when the magazine contain fanmanga, fanmusic and shit.

A bit, but his supposed strictness with the canon works are so overblown its insane. I remember the anti-wing tard citing the fact that Aya Azuma never drew Aya with wings as evidence she shouldnt have them because "ZUN is strictest with her".
