this entire relationship arc between ange and livia is basically just building them up to accepting that they can share leon.
their main relationship struggle is that they both love leon and think the other one deserves to be with him
olivia thinks ange and leon are a better pair and ange thinks that livia shouldn't give up on her love for leon despite this.
they wanted to get on the device so leon couldn't deny their feelings for eachother, and after they pass on the machine instead their first thought afterwards is that they want to see leon.
then ange lets her ex know she is over him because she loves leon now.
