Shout out to the anon who did this, I am not very good with computer so I've no idea how he did it but basically it's a sort of mirror of dojin.co before it went offline. It was a a decent site for doujin music until it went full retard with paywalls and then chinese spyware interstitial ads. You can ctrl+f whatever genre or artist in the raw data.

In case anyone is interested;
The new Shinsei Kamattechan album will be out on streaming services in November, I think in full, and then it'll have a physical release in January.
They started filming for their next MV today, pic related, which they're aiming to release before the end of the month. No dates or official announcements yet, but I expect there'll be some soon enough.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpKHaHv7BJg
The last two minutes of the song are great as well, the one guitar riff that just keeps going on one side, the other guitar subtly complementing it, that steady looping bass line, the drums that keep changing with every few bars

He's been saying recently that he generally aims to alternate between releasing a "downer" album like Tsumanne and then following that with a "band" album like Minna Shine
Apparently the new album is more of the former, a "downer" album, save for the two "upbeat" songs like Mainichi ga News and the Game song he put out last year as a demo that's going to be on it
https://youtu.be/085XNmCF6uI
So he's aiming to make the album after this one more of a band album

It's a cover of SPEED - White Love, for a programme, but you're lucky because there is actually a studio recording of their cover released on an album called 歌がうまい王座決定戦~歌うま七人衆~, and it's even on Amazon Music and Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/album/2kSokv5udsFonojXJp57SU))
The bad news is I don't think anyone has ripped it yet, and it seems to be region locked on Spotify, so you'll need to be in Japan to listen to it. If you google the title you'll find other sites selling digital downloads for it, but the ones I checked also seem to be locked to Japan.

capsule EDM period is only generic in the lyrical sense. Why they stopped making lyrically compelling songs is beyond me, though I suspect it is due to Nakata losing interest in songwriting for capsule over just electronic experimentation.

I understand if you don't like the EDM, but the only reason why Nakata would sound generic is because he kept on churning out hit-after-hit for over a decade through capsule, Perfume, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, etc (and the latter are more pure synthpop than EDM anywho). He's infamous for having crafted his own style.

I do like the older stuff better, but I don't think there is anything wrong with the newest one. Its a bit different in the style and "energy" it gives off, but I thin kits a fantastic album despite that.

Quite honestly I find it always refreshing when bands mix up their style a bit for whatever reason. If it has talented people in it they can do good stuff no matter the direction they go.

The worst thing in the world is having the band members change and then them trying to keep up the same style to the tiniest details and it only sounds like a weird, hollow imitation of what it was.

Can any other nip female vocalists even come close to the hypnotic wonder of Yakushimaru Etsuko, Itou Masumi, and Sakamoto Maaya's voices?

Do you guys know any similar artists?
I know of Tokyo Shoegazer, My Dead Girlfriend and Mass of Fermenting Dregs, but they were kinda boring.

When did /jp/ hit that point where they realized most of the music they like is Japanese? Is this the case for you?

What /jp/ artists/bands have you guys seen live? I've only seen Crossfaith and Coldrain live. I'm kicking myself because I missed out on One Ok Rock (although they've turned into western garbage) and Dir En Grey a few years ago.

Sometime in college. It's not really that I have bias against Western artists, but more so that Japanese artists seem more dedicated to the genres I like.

A bunch of 2hu doujin artists at Uta Matsuri in Taiwan.

I primarily listen to male artists myself but that's just because the music genres I'm into at the moment happen to be fronted by males. I'll admit there are a lot of poor male vocalists out there.
So often I'll listen to something for a few seconds and go "Nah not for me" when the guy starts singing -- a problem I rarely have with female singers (granted, I don't listen to them too much).

Seems like it will be a nice album

I'm looking forward to St. Marie, ghost girl, yozora no mushi new version. I thought the cover was gomennasai again at first but apparently it's someone else.

>> No.22308174

>>22307377
It's by an artist called Samehoshi, I like it
I'm also looking forward to those songs, the ghost girl shinitee they've been doing live sounds really good, hopefully the really rough guitar screeches and screaming is in the album version.
the new yozora is going to be as close as possible to the ones they've been doing live these last few years which I really enjoy - I remember him saying something about how he was unsatisfied with the recording on tsumanne, and it took a bunch of years of performing it for the song to come into its own.
I'm curious as to how Ruru-chan is going to sound though, since he got an arranger in who made it sound a lot more "orchestral" because he felt the version he uploaded on youtube was its own thing already.
What I also think is interesting is that at least 7/12 of the songs heavily use voice changing effects, which is probably the most out of any of their albums.
The main music video for the album should also come out in a week, and if we discount the ones with demo music videos and promotional videos, plus oyasumi which he said he wanted to but decided not to, then there's only shinitee, girl2, baikin 1-go, shizuka na ano ko, and tokumei kibou-kun left
I'm placing my bets on shizuka na ano ko, I think it makes sense with the general school girl theme of the album
